Default Say You Will in the Meantime playlist

This has probably been done before in one way or another, but here it goes. Even before I knew the specs of Lindsey's intended GOS from 2001 I was aware that his contributions were from a solo project, and as much as I like SYW, flaws & all - it's not a perfect album, but a pretty artistic one from an aging Mac - I still recognize that most are correct in thinking it sounds like "2 solo albums mashed together". And I really do think had the GOS from '01 been released, w the running order that was leaked, would have been one of Lindsey's best solo efforts.

So in wanting to make a 'what if' playlist including Christine songs from ITM, I created Say You Will in the Meantime. The ITM songs I chose are the only ones on the album I think are good.. I also think they are the most Mac sounding from Christine's ITM batch. I also realize that ITM was released in 2004, we don't know what she had written by 2003, an album like this would be outside the realm of possibility, etc.. but I do think had she been involved, her contributions to the album could have easily been similar to the ITM tracks I included.. musically, lyrcally, they just have that FM vibe.

I dropped the 'extreme' Lindsey tracks, Murrow & Rover. And again, had Christine been involved, I believe it's possible that the Lindsey songs I included could have been the top contenders for his contributions to SYW- assuming he was also choosing his songs based on what was most "middle ground" for a Mac situation. And the Stevie tracks I dropped I just really don't care for as much.

Say You Will in the Meantime

1. What's The World Coming To
2. Thrown Down
3. Miranda
4. Friend
5. Destiny Rules
6. Steal Your Heart Away
7. Givin' It Back
8. Say You Will
9. Peacekeeper
10. You Are
11. Illume
12. Silver Girl
13. Bleed To Love Her
14. Nortern Star
15. Come
16. Smile At You
17. Easy Come, Easy Go
18. Say Goodbye
19. Running Through The Garden

Anyway, all my ranting & explaining the whats and whys aside, this is best summed up as what SYW very well could've sounded like had it been recorded w Christine, or as simply each FM songwriter's most Mac sounding songs,in my oppinion, from SYW & ITM.

Tell me what you think, what you'd change, post you're own if you done this before, try it if you haven't.. i found it interesting.. maybe I have too much time on my hands
