Leather & Lace
Give to me your reference, take from me my name

Silver Springs
I'm trying to cast a spell on you but you are not ready

Beautiful Child
Sweet blessed child

Highway Man
A dream begun and why?

Edge of Seventeen
Just like the one-winged dove

Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
Makin me of some bright eyed kid

Dreams
When the rain wool sheds you clean you'll know

Storms
Stay close. I've got all the friends in the world. Stay close.

I misheard lyrics so badly as a child it ridiculous. And just for bonus, the funniest misheard lyric I've ever heard was actually from Destiny's Child "Independent Women." I thought they were saying "Throw your hands on batman." I was really confused by that.

I've been subjecting my 5 year old nephew to "The Dealer" this past week. This morning, I walked by his playroom and tried to stifle a laugh as I heard him singing to himself...

"Always the mis-dressed of my faith..."

Like an innocent bright-eyed kid, You need someone looking after you!"

What she says "Than make a meal of some bright-eyed kid"

What I heard "I don't wanna know the reasons why I love yOOooouu right on walkin on down the line"

Instead of "I don't wanna know the reasons why love keeps right on walkin on down the line"

Outside The Rain
What I heard " Love is a word that some entertain and, if you find it, you better ruUUuun and GET IT!"

Instead of " Love is a word that some entertain, if you find it, you have won the game"
Instead of "words don't matter" I heard "birds don't matter"

Doesn't everyone have a black rose tray lamp? It's multi-functional; I use mine all the time. Just like the white wine dove.

If you listen to Hole's version of Gold Dust Woman, I'm pretty sure that Courtney Love sings, "one less challenge, pick your path and I'll pray." You can be the judge. It's at :34 in the song.

I don't like her music, and I don't like this cover. What is up with the way she pronounces "woman" and "challenge"?

In Your Dreams.

Misheard: I'm always in and out of your life

Actual: I'm always in and out of your light

I too heard "Which chord shall I play" on Straight Back.

And for a couple of years, I sang the "words of a poet and a voice of a choir" switched around to "voice of a poet and the words of a choir" I don't know why but I used to get confused on those and it totally works!

In Insider with Tom Petty, I always hear the lyric 'I'm an insider, I been burned by the fire' as 'I'm an insider, I been burned by the fryers' and it brings to mind images of Tom and Stevie in KFC uniforms working the hot oil...

But I think "light" can serve as "spotlight" as well. I agree it means "life" too, but considering her profession, I think "light" can cover being on stage.
