No, you are not alone.....when I play "A Fool No More" from In The Skies, I mean it's just mind blowing even after all these years. Less is the more, Greeny's rules!!!!

Default I just can't get over this poll

A couple players need to be moved but it's #1 that's important:

how was that poll conducted? who was polled? when? anyway, very interesting. Congrats as well to Jeremy and Danny (the couple that need to be moved?).

Actually it's someone's personal opinion who runs a Blues website in upstate New York USA, who also loves Peter Green. I bought Martin Celmins' Peter Green bio (new with wrap) from this site (after it was out of print). As for the rankings, I was writing of Duane Allman's position, and Jesse Ed Davis at the very last (#100). I have other beefs, but that is for another conversation, and they are very minor.

I also bought my bio copy from this website! When I bought it was also out of print, the copy they sent me was new, and the price was Ok. They even sent me a free CD with Rory Gallagher interviews, I found it a nice site to buy.

I enjoy seeing Peter on the first place, but I don't like very much this king of lists actually. I found them very partial...And there's no way to measure it better, really, it's something very personal.

To me Peter is of course the best, and that's all!!!!!!!!!!!

The only ranking I agree with is #1. No way Duane Allman should be any lower than #2...and totally missing from the list is Derek Trucks.

I hate these lists.

Default unique list Mr K

Interesting list, though I must confess not knowing of Bugs Henderson or Dave Spector
What are the qualifications?
It does not appear to be a straight Blues list because of Danny Gatton ,Alvin Lee and Warren Haynes for that matter. Lists are indeed fun!

I like these guitarists because of their (incredible for me) live performances. They play varied music styles but always with emotions and committment. And they impress me much :-). This is the only criterion :-).
Bugs Henderson is a fantastic blues-rock guitarist from Texas. He plays with taste and sometimes with fire.
Dave Specter is a jazz-blues guitarist from Chicago with soulful sound. He colaborated e.g. with Ronnie Earl and Tad Robinson.

Hi,
this is my personal ranking . I wrote about my criterion in previous post.
Other listeners' choice can be different of coure .
I appreciate Clapton, Beck and Page and listen to them from time to time.
But guitarists from my list always play in my heart :-).

I like more guitaris (e.g. Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Luther Allison, Albert King, Freddie King, T-Bone Walker, Robert Johnson or from Europe Javier Vargas, Julian Sas, Matt Schofield and many many others).
