I'm feeling excited to go to the DC show next week - they better keep SOTM in it!

I totally dig the Tusk "4 pack" in the set list. Not sure what everyone was expecting but this set is bolder than I anticipated. Whether it stays in tact remains to be seen.

In what world could SOTM and NTF possibly be considered risks? SOTM was done at the tail end of the "Rumours" tour throughout the "Mirage" tour. NTF was done on the "Tusk", "Mirage", AND "The Dance" tours, and was even on "Fleetwood Mac Live". The only risk is that those songs will completely suck, and people won't like them anymore because they were so bad.

That leaves the two unreleased songs, one of which many fans already know (and we know they know). Ooh, ONE new song. Color me underwhelmed. One new song is a far cry from relevance.

From what I've been texted I guess Sisters of the Moon was slowed down a bit, but I'm told she nailed the ending. I was kind of hoping for the hooded poncho but I guess I can't complain. Stevie sang the whole thing. Bizarre to me that its back to back with Sara. Stand Back came with the poncho and a high kick, so I'm guessing its am extended version.

Not too happy with Lindsey's choices, Not That Funny is my least favorite song on tusk and Say Goodbye is a total bore. I'm glad Eyes is back, but I was hoping for at least Blue Letter.

However, talking about a "risk" song....
A song that makes news....
A song that would flip out a whole bunch of guitar peeps....

Black Magic Woman
AND...Stevie doing the old "Rhiannon" dance to that would be amazing...

We'll never see that.

They need to switch sisters and tusk in the running order. She'll burn out too quick!

In a world that is less self-absorbed than just one person's desires. A song not done in 30 + years that most people have never seen live and that could damage someone's voice the way they sang it the last time and yet venture to try it now is indeed a risk. And whatever new way they perform the song now may suck to you but could very well be awesome to me. You may say you are underwhelmed and I may say I'm excited but you can not say it is not a risk to do that song. Adding the other new ones (Without You is also new as far as a live song) only sweetens the pot. Sorry you are underwhelmed but relevance is by opinion

I am just happy that they are back together again, touring, singing my personal favorite song (SOTM) that I never thought I would ever get a chance to see live. And that they are recording new music. If I don't get it, then ok, they didn't want me to have it...

But right now, I couldn't be more excited to see my favorite band live from the front row late next month.

I just hope that we can all be happy that they haven't closed the door on FM and all called it quits.

Oh gee...I better stop posting to message board dedicated to something I like. Wouldn't want my preferences to get in the way...

EXACTLY why it's not a risk. To fans like you, the mere fact that they'll do it is amazing in and of itself. For fans like me, even though I've only seen it live on music videos, we realize that it's only going to suck by comparison. Look at what's happened to "Rhiannon" over the years. Do you REALLY think you're not going to get that with SOTM? Hell, I'd prefer "Welcome To The Room...Sara" because it's never been done live, it's never been considered a hit, she can still hit those notes, and it wouldn't tarnish an otherwise impeccable image I have of a song.

Yes I can. It's been done, and it's been done better. SOTM is perhaps the safest Stevie song on "Tusk". Risky, for me, would be "I Don't Want To Know" or anything after "Tusk" other than "Gypsy" or even "Seven Wonders". "Thrown Down" would even be a bigger risk.

Yeah, like your mom.
