Great post.

What a lot of guff (as we say in this part of the world).

So Christine uttered a few unfortunate comments in the dim and distant past; so did your parents, so did your grandparents et al. Let's not sit on our high horses and judge, lest we be judged.

As it goes, I am not schocked at Ken Caillat's comments. After all, he saw her (and the others) at their very worst. He did end his post, though, with "I liked her". That, surely, must be the overriding thing we take from his contribution.

I have feared she was bigoted over the years. Of course, I'll never have to spend time with her personally and as long as she keeps it in the closet -- or at Halloween parties where the pictures are NOT released to the public -- then it doesn't change my opinion of her overall.

Ah Ha - that's it.

Of course, if you are going to start any vice - it should be when you break up.

As far Christine or John's costume goes on the "off the meter scale"... not even close to groundbreaking....

Laughter is the best medicine...
Moreover, LB's costume is making fun of and/or disrespecting the Catholic Church and I am sure the Wiccans are not too thrilled or La Nicks' portrayal of a with as a dead zombie. But, they are overlooked.

In the end, humor does not equal racism. Racism is all about intent. But, we are so bludgeoned with political correctness that humor is out the door.

I stand corrected. When you're wrong, you're wrong.

Christine appearing in blackface was HILARIOUS! What a way to send up those silent films and make everyone laugh! I dooooo believe that was pure genius, Massuh!

I agree. I'm not too shocked about what he said. None of it--as brief as it was--seems terribly out of the ordinary, perhaps a bit bitchy, but when was That a crime.

I did think, however, that she and he might have been a bit closer, since he worked on ITM with her. That could not have been a big-money project; he couldn't have been lured by a lucrative deal. The recent picture of them sitting close together, smiling, too, seemed friendly and warm.

But did they have a falling out during ITM? Or at least a mis-meeting of the minds? I guess I'd be surprised to hear they were close, at this point. Michele

Wasn't Ken quoted as saying he didn't like the final mix on ITM?
