and they got confused about the cost of the current house as they stated..."that he picked up in late 2004 for $6,600,000,000."

Lindsey Buckingham & Wife Are ‘Macs’ of LA Home Buying, Building, Decorating

DATE:JANUARY 24, 2013 | CATEGORY:EYE CANDY | AUTHOR:LAURA VECSEY

Fleetwood Mac never dies, which is good for fans of the band that set music history milestones for most records sold and most intra-band breakups. And now just three months ahead of a huge Fleetwood Mac world tour, there’s word that frontman and solo artist Lindsey Buckingham has bought another Los Angeles area home.

Maybe Buckingham’s wife, Kristen, will occupy her time during the band’s tour renovating the Brentwood property, which the Real Estalker says the couple purchased for $5.8 million.

The 1920s Spanish colonial had been on and off the market for a year. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in just under 3,000 square feet. The 0.82-acre lot sits slightly north of Sunset Boulevard and is close to properties owned by the likes of Betty White, Maria Shriver, Ricki Lake and Arianna Huffington.

It’s unclear whether the couple will be downsizing, but they have clearly enjoyed making nice homes in the Los Angeles area. In 2004, Town & Country magazine featured the home that Buckingham had owned for 19 years and decided to renovate only after a potential buyer for the place had plans to demolish it.

In 2007, the Buckinghams and their three children moved to a much bigger home that Kristen, a photographer and designer, had built by architect Kevin A. Clark. The home borrows distinctly from legendary Hollywood architect Wallace Neff, whose 1920s homes are staples of the Hollywood area look and lore. The home was featured in Elle Decor in 2008, complete with a slideshow that definitely makes it known that Kristen and Lindsey Buckingham are as consummate home builders and homemakers as they are artists.

It’s tough to imagine the Buckinghams moving out of that fantastic custom-built property, but given what we know about the couple’s ability to transform older L.A. homes, maybe the new purchase will turn into another stellar renovation project. If so, the “after” pictures will be worth the wait.

The Band, "Fleetwood Mac" rose to fame in late 1960 with the song, "Albatross". Like other bands, the group saw many ups and downs. The band broke up in 1987 and regrouped in 1997. "Fleetwood Mac" will be returning for a world tour in the spring of 2013.

Apart from his stint with the band, Buckingham has also recorded many solo albums like "Law and Order" and the most recent, "One Man Show" in 2012.

Yikes! Prob the WORST reduction of everything FM/LB ever written!! Besides being inaccurate, it’s just lifeless and horrible – I vote that it be banished from this site!
The author no doubt would characterize Shakespeare this way: The Bard, “William Shakespeare,” rose to fame in 1592 with the play, “The Taming of the Shrew.” Like other Elizabethan creative types, he saw many ups and downs. He had a dry spell in 1585, then got it together in 1592. Apart from his other stuff, Shakespeare wrote lots of things like “Romeo and Juliet” and “Julius Caesar” that even got made into movies.

^Hey, at least he got One Man Show in there. I'd almost rather have that blurb than the usual, "Buckingham is going his own way" headline.
