Searching online I can only find Fleetwood Mac shows in New Zealand in 1980. Did they play here after that? Can't believe they have not been back in 29 years!! Mind you, The Who left it 40 years!

Mylittledemon - you have to make the road trip to go see them!

Wink

I *believe* Fleetwood Mac came to NZ on the Say You Will tour at some point? Maybe a show in Auckland? Can't be sure about that.

I would like to go but if its gonna' cost a fortune, prolly won't happen.

Nope they didn't. Stevie came in 2006 but other than that its been 29 years

I reckon they should play western springs for old times sake, maybe jokingly relive the Guitar throwing incident

Default Council keeping mum on Fleetwood Mac

Taranaki Daily News Last updated 05:00 10/08/2009

Rumours are rife that iconic rock group Fleetwood Mac could play the Bowl of Brooklands as part of its 2009 tour.

Stuff.co.nz has quoted ticketing agency Ticketmaster as saying the band is coming to New Zealand but is not saying where the show might be.

But stevie-nicks-news.com, an unofficial fan site for the band's vocalist, suggests the TSB Bowl of Brooklands will be the venue for a single New Zealand concert in December.

New Plymouth District Council spokespeople were tight-lipped yesterday, neither confirming nor denying the New Plymouth event.

Stevie Nicks performed at the Bowl in March 2006 in a double billing with John Farnham.

So, according to the leaked Aussie dates its just the one NZ show in Christchurch! Bowl of Brooklands was obviously wishful thinking! Now to save some $ for the ferry!!

I find it hard to believe they would only do a concert in christchurch. It doesnt sound right. No other act has just performed there and no where else.

Wellington is fesable because its the most central place in the country and U2 are playing two shows at the caketin, new plymouth maybe, because its an ideal venue, but i really believe it will be in Auckland because its the biggest city, with the best choice of venues, e.g vector arena, western springs, mt smart stadium.

I think Jana just put it there because it was the last city they went to in Aus and nz on Stevie's gold dust tour in 2006

can u get a ferry from Oz to NZ?
i think the plane there costs more than it does to fly to the US

Hahaha i don't think a ferry!

But flights are cheap! On air nz without any deals, the full price is $300 return which is pretty good, since you can usually get them cheaper than that

Enchanted Kiwi - Bon Jovi played 1 NZ show in Christchurch...

The best venue, IMHO, is the Bowl of Brooklands. Stunning location in the park. The logical place is Auckland, but Vector arena would seem a bit dull for Fleetwood Mac don't you think?. Wellington? Maybe...

Yes! A friend of mine told me that today also.

I agree the bowl would be a great place to have it! I just think the way the stage is set up this tour, it would be easier to have it at Vector instead of an outdoor venue, with all those moving screens round them. U2 are only playing two shows in Wellington though!

I saw U2 in 2001. Best concert I've ever been to actually. Although, their current ticket prices have me going

So where is the show? Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, New Plymouth? All have been mentioned.

Is there really just 1 show for NZ?
