Excuse me. From where I sit, he looked like he had a great life, and he always seemed to be in good spirits. He would have been the last person I would have suspected of being depressed.

Apparently he's been to rehab before, not sure when, but on CNN last night they were saying it was a place called Hazelden and it was for coke and heroin dependency... which could all be tied into depression and this result if he's still struggling with it...

i feel bad for him, they were saying last night, that he had a coke/heroin problem & woody harrelson had had an intervention at some point & that earlier sunday owen had a horrible fall-out w/ a very close friend~ i wish him all the best~ & for the record, his nose ain't that bad, i've seen worse & besides i have always thought he was cute

I don't think you can base someone's mental wellbeing on film publicity and the occasional paparazzi photo.
Owen is well known around Hollywood for having more than his fair share of problems, including drugs. I had heard heroin in the past, but that may have been a rumour. Sheryl Crow split up with him because of his problems. I believe the song Safe And Sound is about him.

He dated both Sheryl Crow and Kate Hudson? Oy, I am so out of the loop. Wasn't Kate married recently, didn't she have a baby?

Poor Owen. He's one of the few Hollywood people I genuinely like.

leading a double life because of drugs is truley horrible. He was I guess a "functional" drug addict. That is very hard to do. You gotta go to work and you gotta do your drugs. Its very hard not to mix the two.

She was married to Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes and they had a son together in 2004. It's rumoured Kate left Chris for Owen, and I'd say it's probably true since when they met making You Me & Dupree she was still married. All good gossip mag fodder though!
