Ask a Ledgie a Question
This was David's idea & there's already one of these in the Stevie Forum, but I wanted to start one here too. It doesn't have to be Mac related, it could be a question about anything. I don't think people want to get too personal ("where exactly do you live, what's your phone number") due to possible internet kooks, but you can always choose not to answer. Also, please keep questions like "how long is your penis?" or "wanna make out?" confined to PMs. Strand.
You can just answer, but it would be cool if you could ask another Ledgie another question to keep the thread going. Chili: I think you've mentioned that you've attended all Mac tours. Do you know how many shows total? Do you remember the cities/venues/dates or anything like that? Amber: How far do you think you walk in a week? You walk & bike most places, I'm just curious if you have any idea about distances? You are the long distance winner, IMO. Seeker: Working in Vegas, have you met a lot of famous people? Were they nice, or jerky? |

52 shows in all..that's ONLY Fleetwood Mac as a whole. All shows were in Southern California. Venues I've seen them: Long Beach Center Theatre Long Beach Arena Santa Monica Civic Auditorium Anaheim Stadium Loyola Marymount University Gymnasium GW Forum (MOST shows were here) Universal Amphitheatre San Diego Sports Arena Arrowhead Pond Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre University Of California, Santa Barbara football field (the "Rosebud" show) Solo shows: Lindsey Buckingham: 1 (Wiltern Theatre) Stevie Nicks: 4 (2 on the RAL tour, 1 Street Angel, 1 Enchanted) Peter Green: 3 (with the PGSG, 1998 at the Long Beach Blues Festival, 1999 at the Ventura Theatre, 2001 at the Disneyland House Of Blues) Rick Vito: 5 (plus once when he was with Jackson Browne's band) Bob Welch: 10 (includes 2 with Paris, 1 with Avenue M) Plus: Walter Egan: 4 (only ONE of the four shows did NOT have Stevie Nicks and/or Lindsey Buckingham show up on stage with him, one show at the Roxy also had Mick & John in the audience) John Stewart: 1 (during his Bombs Away Dream Babies tour...he played a Turner Model 1 throughout the show). And, of course, the infamous 1976 Eric Clapton show where I sat in close proximity to 4 of the 5 then current FMac members. EDIT: And, well, gee...thanks for asking.

well..... I have met a number of famous folks through the years. Most are very nice, but some are very "JERKY". Jerky List: 1. Barbara Streisand - saw from afar. She is number one Jerk, as she doesn't want "those" people to look at her. She made the "help" walk back wards so they wouldn't make eye contact. 2. Sting. - Gods gift to himself. Total Twit 3. Lionel Ritchie - Band was nice, he was very "sting-like". (Stuck up git) 4. Some rap idiot. - Not into rap music, but patrons were astonished when I didn't care who he was and threw him out for inappropriate behavior. "Don't you know who that was?" and I said "someone who thinks fame and money buys respect and manners. I wouldn't let you do that crap, so I am not letting him either. " (Dennis Rondman was thrown out of the Bellagio recently for acting like a fool. So, there is a limit). Most of the famous folks appreciate being treated like a normal person and are low key. Only a few need the attention all the time or think they are above everyone else. If they do something stupid the entire strip knows within minutes (Very tight, small community - casino workers).

Sting
I've heard that he's a jerk...more than once.
Barbara...not surprised in the least. "Those" people? Like, who...the "little people"? LOL Nah, those people don't buy your albums or see your movies. Pfftt. Was the rap idiot...Kanye West or someone less well known?

You know, I have no idea. I don't listen to rap. Must have been "somebody" the way folks were acting. I didn't care, there are certain levels of public manners and he didn't have any, thought normal rules didn't apply to him. So..."CYA"

Sorry. Wish it had been different. Not an isolated case, from what I hear.

My curiosity has gotten the best of me. Thanks for the break.
Paula, what the hell is Sister of the Boob? Did that have to do with someone pinching Stevie's boob in a poster???
