Default Greeny interview from 1997

I hadn't seen this before; an interview with Peter from the early stage of the Splinter group comeback. He's being very "greeny", haha:

Thanks for the link Dino. I just wish it went longer. It's interesting how he can seem rambling one moment, but be pretty clear the next. He still seemed to consider himself not worthy of being even mentioned with the blues greats.
He sort of let it go by when the interviewer said that Greeny was one of his two favorite guitar players.

I really hope Peter is doing well now, and has real love and care around him.

aawww... that brought a little tear to my eye. I wish people hadn't ever treated him badly. Happy he has someone in his life to love and care for him tho. My brother works with people like Greeny and I greatly admire anyone who has the patience and heart to do that. Doesn't seem like it would be right if there weren't anyone to help them. According to my brother many people with these types of disorders are very brilliant in some way and he really enjoys talking with them when they are lucid. It's when they get violent that scares me, but he just takes it with a grain of salt because he really understands that it's beyond their control to help themselves.

Thanks for posting the link, it was a great read. Rock on Greeny!!

Yeah, I'd like to read a current interview with Peter. It would be interesting to see what he'd say nowadays about his playing and what his plans are musically (if any).

Yikes. He did not sound well at the time. It didn't hurt his playing though. His answer to the Fleetwood Mac question was bizarrre for a number of reasons.

Yeah...there's a few interviews like that, he "free-associates" a lot, or what you should call it. Nothing wrong with that, but a bit unusual.

I was happy to read Peter's view on Danny as "a lovely geezer", as people have always seemed to describe him as strange and hard to get on with.
Maybe Peter was one of the few who understood Danny.
