I once was torrent-challenged until I bought myself a new PC in mid-April (HP Pavilion DV6000), and since "someone" (who DID at one time post here - SHE knows who she is) decided to "Stab me through the back to get to my heart" I have been "FREE" to learn how to torrent, and I mastered it very quickly.

I am glad fellow Ledgies such as Macman can upload the files to share with those who havent mastered torrents

I'm still a little baffled on how the concept of torrents can be daunting.

You download a program (any one of a number of bit torrent clients), click on the torrent, and you're downloading. What's so hard about that? I'm honestly curious.

as is the finding an acceptable program that one needs to change .flac to .wav files. For me EDITING the files before burning (Fix gaps between tracks, reduce clippage, expand the stereo separation, balance the stereo spectrum, fix vinyl sourced 'pops' and 'clicks', remove high levels of audio hiss from an anolog source, etc.) was the only minor issue I had (Currently using WavePad v3.05 Master Edition, Switch v1.12 master edition, CD Wave Editor, Efficent WMA MP3 Converter and Nero Wave Editor as my editing programs of choice)

Back when I first started using torrents... I can't even remember how long it's been... Anyone remember "Sharing The Groove". Must have been around 99 or 2000.... It wasn't as simple as installing a program and off you go downloading... The whole concept wasn't as widely known as it is today, or the information readily available on what you need for a program and programs needed to decompress the flac/shn files... It literally took me a wknd on the computer constantly to get my head around it. I knew nobody that was doing it to give me advice etc... But once you get it, it's a no brainer. Today there are many clients to use... Back then there was ONE!

from the guy that invented the whole thing. Ironically, I think he went on to become an advisor to the entertainment industry on how to stop torrent downloading.
