I think Jimmy Iovine would be the best choice.

Agreed, and I think she should keep FM away from this completely. Mick of course will not tolerate that. But this is about HER not FM

It won't be LB. He'd never go up on stage to give Stevie an award he doesn't stand a chance at winning himself. His ego is far too big and fragile.

Agreed 100%.

I honestly wonder though, if he swallowed his pride and performed a gesture like this, would Stevie be moved and forgive him/invite him to rejoin the band? A girl can dream!

Doubtful. He's been trying to play nice with her for years now, public proclamations via songs, interviews etc..... no avail. Sh&t's too deep by now.

I was listening to Mark Goodman on XM Radio this morning, and he was talking about Def Leppard being inducted. He said that the artist does not select who inducts them. I'd be curious to know how it all works.

I'm very surprised it's Harry. I get that it's the "cool" option. Many people will probably tune in just to see him, but I figured she would choose someone from her past. I really thought it would be Jimmy Iovine.
I'm really surprised she didn't ask Vanessa Carlton? They have been friends for years, musically and personally. Definitely a weird choice. |

if the whole thing is she's the first woman to get in twice, why not have one of the many, many women whom she's influenced be the speaker??
Or someone who's known her for more than five minutes? Or someone who has some credibility in the music community? this is just trashy. And yet so typical of who she's become-- chasing elusive youth,

I highly doubt that. The whole RRHOF is so political and influenced by managers etc. Or the RRHOF people know nothing about her, and just did a super quick Google search and he came up in one of the most recent clips of her in the news.

Stevie is soo smart. It’s the youth that make you relevant and remembered. When she sang with Harry it was all over Twitter. The night of the induction, Stevie will be all over Twitter because of Harry Styles. She is trying to remain relevant and capture the youth. Very smart but it’s also demeaning.
