Stevie likes to give herself much more credit than she is actually due. Her views on her importance to music are a bit laughable.

Which views are those? I don't remember her talking about how important to music she is.
Hmmm, this makes me want to publish your rousing renditions of Seven Wonders and Sleeping Angel.

No need to get personal.

I'm referring to her "they're all my children" type comments regarding women in music and how she paved the way for them. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it.

She gives Christoper Nicks way too much leadway in artwork.

I hated that video of her with that girl she yanks on stage all the while singing her "angry" song Stand Back. Puke.

If I can jump on this thread for a second. I was going to post it on the Buckingham version of this thread but it seems more obvious to come here.

I think Stevie is just as jealous about Lindsey's skills as he is about her successes and both are insecure people by nature.

Wait, Richard ... you mean the Landover 7.07.83 performance? You hate the whole thing? or just Stand Back?

Just when she yanks the little girl up onto stage. It's way too cheezy and not cute. But the show is amazing.

Here's why I like that moment: On the surface, it's all pudgy childhood & goodness & light & insufferable "whimsy" & Disneyfied emotions. But there is a fly on the ointment. As Elaine is gripped & pulled up onstage, her bare knee is banged painfully against the stage edge, with bits of skin & subcutaneous tissue being scraped off. Blood isn't directly visible, but it happens so quickly that I wouldn't be surprised if blood were seeping through & leaving stains on the pugdy childhood dress & even on the arena seats. The patella & possibly the shin bone are banged & bruised with purplish-blueish welts, indicating bleeding below the surface, & lending an alluring darkness & nihilism to the papier-mache paste & starched milk quality of the incident.

David, you're my hero!

And I have this hunch that Beethoven and Goethe both had some astute observations there

Indeed. I cringe when I see that.
