Default Peter Green Battle of the Guitars

Hi, I just had a quick question -

What are the odds that some day Peter Green will perform with McVie,
Mick, and - Lindsey on guitar? Wouldn't that be awesome?
And God bless her, but with or without Stevie - I think either would be
great!

There are three chances that would happen:

slim, fat & none.

With Mick & John...that's a strong possibility...add Lindsey to the mix and the odds increase exponentially....like to 1 billion to one.

I guess I'm not up to speed on this (for real...)
Are there hard feelings between Mick and Green?
(Ghost_Tracker puts his arms over his face,
curls up, and makes himself as small as possible - yipe?) . . . .

I don't think so. Mick has always made an effort to remain in contact w/ him, despite all Green's personal/psychological turmoil over the years. John, on the other hand, feels kind of uncomfortable w/ the man Pete became after his 'decline'.

You mistook what I said. If it were JUST Peter getting together with Mick & John, I think the possiblility is EXTREMELY GOOD that it would happen. But, if you add Lindsey Buckingham to the mix, the chances are greater that an astroid will destroy the earth in the next 48 hrs than to get Lindsey Buckingham & Peter Green in the same room jamming with Mick & John. Not that there's any bad vibes between Mr. Buckingham & Mr. Green, I just don't see Lindsey having ANY interest whatsoever in being in that situation.

There has been talk about some kind of Fleetwood Mac reunion featuring former members, including Bob Welch. It would be cool if Peter could do a few numbers. I dont know if this is anything more than talk, but Bob Welch says he's discussed it with Mick and Mick would be up for it. It would be great if Peter, and maybe Jeremy, were involved too. I'd say the chances of Danny getting involved are slimmer than that of Paul Butterfield and Mike Bloomfield coming back from the grave to play some blues...

Well, it has if you count that one track they did with Steve Miller on that Mayall album a few years back.

I think you could easily get the quartet in the same room jamming. Whether anything comes of it is another story.

I don't know if I totally agree. If anything, I don't see Peter having the interest in working with Lindsey. Peter's the one who's basically said "aside from Mick and John, who else is there?" Which I thought was odd, as Christine was there, and really, he did more work with her on "Mr. Wonderful" than Jeremy, at least on his own songs. From everything I've ever read, Lindsey has only had glowing praise for Peter, and would probably welcome the chance to play with him. Lindsey's played with Billy, Rick, and Bob Welch, and has said less than glowing things about them.

Well, here's my favorite mathematical theory:
The chances are 50%.
Either there will be such a performance or there won't. Thus just two possiblities.

Cheers

That's as good as it gets. Depends who's pulling his strings these days but it would be just fantastic if he came out of the woodwork and got it on with Mick and John.
