Not even Marianne Faithfull? She's 65.

This is the only one that piqued my interest.

Though it's interesting she didn't do GDW (FM's Sister Morphine).

I'm looking forward to this one ..It promises to be more interesting than the generic mostly major astist Rumours tribute that came out over a decade ago.

Cool...love The Kills and other of these indie artists.
The pre-order is up on Amazon. Looks like Aug 14, 2012 is the release date.

Seems as though Amazon is reporting 17 tracks, as opposed to the 15 tracks from the articles Viv posted.
1. Albatross [Lee Ranaldo Band featuring J Mascis]
2. Landslide [Antony]
3. Before The Beginning [Trixie Whitley]
4. Oh Well Billy [Gibbons & Co.]
5. Rhiannon [Best Coast]
6. Think About Me [The New Pornographers]
7. Angel [Marianne Faithfull]
8. Silver Springs [Lykke Li]
9. Gold Dust Woman [Karen Elson]
10. Storms [Matt Sweeney and Bonnie Prince Billy]
11. Straight Back [Washed Out]
12. Thats All For Everyone [Tame Impala]
13. Sisters Of The Moon [Craig Wedren with St. Vincent]
14. Dreams [The Kills]
15. Gypsy [Gardens & Villa]
16. Tusk [The Crystal Ark]
17. Future Games [MGMT]

I'm not gonna lie, I'm actually really excited about this. Who would've thought we'd see something like this that wasn't all Rumours album stuff? It does seem very Stevie-centric but I like a lot of the obscure song choices such as Angel and Straight Back.

Oh really?! Thanks for pointing that out Vivfox. I'm pretty familiar with pre-rumours era suff but I'll go check that out. And honestly, since this tribute album isn't "greatest hits" centered, that is totally a possibility. Which I love!!

britt0308, I'm not saying that the Angel from this upcoming album is the earlier FM Angel. I was just pointing out to you that FM has had 2 seperate songs with that title because you answered someone else's quote asking about the song. More than likely it will be Stevies' Angel on this recording.

Aren't albums always released on Tuesdays? That would mean August 14.

The track listing here includes 17 songs. It adds "Gold Dust Woman" by Karen Elson and "Sisters of the Moon" by Craig Wedren with St. Vincent.

No i got that! I wasn't aware there was another song with the same title. And who knows, it may very well be a surprise and be the earlier song Just saying it was up for grabs!

The majority of the included artists tend to be characterized as indie rock or alternative bands.

What happened to Michelle Branch's version of "Say You Love Me", as produced by Stevie Nicks? Was that due to be included on another FM tribute album?
