Did he really say that?

He probably did, and it probably came out differently than he intended. I think he was simply saying that there is still a lot of creativity in the band, their approach has obviously changed as a result of Christine not being there, that the creative force that remains is still a force to be reckoned with, and that exploring the new approach is something they find exciting. Lindsey's comments are such that people, myself included, tend to read more into them than what was actually intended.

Don't forget "reconvening of these five people" and "fight for the positive choice" and "nothing falls into a simple set of labels."

It was interesting seeing the answers in the SYW tour programme to the question "What will you miss the most about not having Christine on the road with you?"

Mick : One of my oldest and dearest friends.

John : Besides the music, her proximity on stage and a good laugh off stage.

Stevie : Her hysterical sense of humour.

Lindsey : We all miss her grace, dignity, humour and heart, as well as her artistry. On the other hand, this new situation has given the musicians the opportunity to stretch out, to be more aggressive. It also opens up a whole new territory for Stevie and myself.

Hmmm.....

Ah, I see.

Also to be immortalised:

"When love is gone, there's always justice. When justice is gone, there's always force. This is Peacekeeper."

OR, the original version, which I'd kill to hear him say:

"When love is gone, there's always justice. When justice is gone, there's always force. When force is gone, there's always Mom. HI MOM!!!"
