Default New Musical Expres 1979 - article about Peter

Hi,
I bought the old New Musical Express issue (16th June 1979) with the article and inteview with Peter ( The Jewish Boy Who Wandered Too Far From Home). It's very interesting although Peter's answers or statements are not always precise or clear :-). But Peter Vernon-Kell ( I don't know why S. Clarke in this article used the name Vernon Kall) said in the end: " You've only got to listen to his playing, that's where it all goes. Why should he talk when he can play like that?"
Now my question about one photo from this article ( Peter with a acoustic guitar and a pipe).
I know Peter played guitar and cello on Oh Well.
But I suppose he played other intsruments there.
Does anybody know any details?

Krzysztof

I have that article, it was before "In The Skies" was released. Interesting is that according to Peter Vernon Kell, six more tracks were recorded during the sessions, but to this day they didn't see the light of the day.

On "Oh Well (part.2) Jeremy Spencer played piano, while the pipe was played by Peter's then girlfriend Sandra Eldson Vigon.

Mario.

Default The poor guy

The early years of psych drugs that add weight. It' s still true today, just not as bad (to a degree...). I love the passport picture from Celmins' bio if it's true that was shot in the early 70's without the beard. He still looked fit then.

Hello
Can you please post the text and pics of the article. I've been researching that particular time in Peter's career ( 77-80) because I was tracking down the history of Peter's replacement Les Paul, the one that Mick Fleetwood bought for him in 79.
The story of that guitar appears in the July 09 issue of Vintage Guitar magazine.
Cheers
Werner
