Default What If Fleetwood Mac

What if Fleetwood Mac had named their Bare Trees album "Silver Threads Among the Gold"?

Would you still like them & understand them?

No, because silver and gold worn together is a fashion faux pas. And music is all about fashion, ergo, that would have been so, so wrong.

No, because there was a vibe with the whole "Bare Trees" theme. It was almost like a mini-concept album. At least as conceptual as Fleetwood Mac gets...

Yes...because Bare Trees would not have existed so I wouldn't have had a bias toward that name. Of course, it would've had a completely different cover, so we PROBABLY wouldn't have had J. McVie's great photography/cover.

There would have been confusion with Linda Ronstadt's take of the tune 'Silver Threads and Golden Needles' from the same era. And, by the way, who wore the the Cub Scout shirt as a fashion statement first? Linda or Christine?
