Thanks, Steve.

Just listening now, but the LZ references in Religion are fairly apparent.

Thanks for the sharing, sounds better than I thought it would. What year was Paris recorded/released?

Very interesting material here. It reminds me of the little-vaunted first version of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, especially on the "Night in Tunisia" album -- the version with Johnny Griffin.

Was Bob Welch influenced by Johnny Griffin?

Thanks again, Steve.

I recently had to drive in to the city at 11:00 pm on Saturday night to turn on an alarm at work some prat had left off - the CD made the trip much more enjoyable.

Played Red Rain on the PC to my wife, a big LZ fan in her day and asked her who it sounded like.

"Well, it's Robert Plant, who's he supposed to be sounding like?"

Highly recommended to fans of Wolfmother.

1975

Big Towne, 2061 was released a year later.

Any chance of a re-posting of the Paris album??
Would be great!

How legal is it, by the way ? I would love to post some rare greeny file,
but will I get sued?

Thanks ChiliD!
I do enjoy some of the post-Peter Mac material...before their mid 70's stuff, never really followed Mr. Welch's career, he has some interesting stuff!

I seriously doubt it. My big rule of thumb is that if it's not available to purchase (as is the case with the "Paris" album), then it's okay. It's not like you're ripping somebody off.
