I for one hope that TRPTF isn't TOF. "Wait for the right twist of fate" is a much better lyric and fits the message of the song which is that he is full of hope that things will work out. "The right place to fade" is too depressing and gives the impression that he's winding down.

For real. Especially considering how long it takes to get them to put out new music anyway. I want it all...and more!

Misheard lyrics strikes again? So he's been saying "waiting for the right place to fade" this whole time? No wonder he didn't know what the fan that asked about Twist Of Fate was talking about.

While I cannot definitively confirm that its the same song (although it seems quite likely, for sure), I can confirm that the song we know as "Twist Of Fate" was indeed titled "Twist Of Fate"- there's discussion about this further up in the thread.

you're not being greedy, you're being reasonable. 10 songs on one cd these days is pretty unusual, unless they're pretty long and developed.

I'm thrilled he has a new cd coming out. I'll certainly get it. But what an unflattering cover photo!

Well he changed the title to Shuffle Riff so why not Twist of Fate?

Let me just state again, if Twist of Fate isn't on this album...I will cry.

Shuffle Riff was never the title of the song- it was the working title of the unmastered mix when it leaked in 2001.

Yes I saw it after I posted. Then I listened to Twist Of Fate and I could swear that sometimes he is saying "waiting for the right place to fade." Maybe it is like someone said. The song has evolved and he has the luxury of changing the title.

In Shuffle Riff, I always thought he was singing, "I won't wait for you." The lyric "I wanna wait for you," changes the whole dynamic of the song. Instead of edgy and angry, it's now hopeful and boring.

You know, I am sure he did change some of the titles. The 'working' GOS wasn't ever supposed to be leaked, and I mean, why would he put so many other songs on it when he already had so many written?

While we do already have th GOS bootleg however, maybe some new songs in place of those [aside from the title track] would be nice. just think what would be more 'rewarding' to us-
a. reworked old songs we have?
b. brand new songs we don't have?

but honestly, I don't care either way, I'm just glad were getting a new LB CD before 14 years came along. [sh!t, it's been 2 years since UTS.. That long!!???]

But anyways, I am so excited for this!

That's how I feel about Great Day. The song might be wonderful, but I don't need a title like that in my life. Unless it's an ironic one. Like it's about the day the world ended.

For what its worth, on LB.com, "Wanna Wait For You" is now listed as simply "Wait For You". So, who knows.

Christine titles a song Calumny. Lindsey has Treason. Now, it's Stevie's turn to write Betrayal. Michele
