Default Duchovny Mentions Lindsey

[My worlds collide. David Duchovny talking about LB. And in my opinion, Lindsey is the only creature as beautiful as Gillian, so she can feel free to talk about him any time she wants as well. Also, Josh Jackson, if you ever want to talk about Lindsey .... well, the truth is Josh can talk about anything. It hardly matters.]

David Duchovny: I want to see Fleetwood Mac tonight, but I think I’m going to be working too late. I’ve never seen Fleetwood Mac and I’d like to see them. I’ve always thought [Lindsey Buckingham] is a really interesting, good guitarist.

He’s better now than ever just from years of practice, even though there is this idea that as a musician you wash up at a certain age.

I’ve thought about the same thing. As an actor, at least somebody like me, I think some actors are immediately who they are. I never felt that way. I felt it took me a while to get to a certain point, and now I feel like I’m getting too old to use all these things that I’ve learned. It’s kind of sad sometimes when you feel you’ve served this apprenticeship in a way, not to someone, but to yourself. And then our culture is so kind of youth oriented that the best practitioners, let’s just stick musically, it’s hard for them to find an outlet. I’m not saying Lindsey Buckingham doesn’t have an outlet, but the point is guys like that have been playing their whole lives have gotten better. The norm is that you work less and less or there is less and less interest in your work, which is too bad, because I think as people get older, their work gets more interesting.

A little OT. I'm really looking forward to David Duchovny's upcoming Aquarius TV series.

I did not care for Californication, so I am ready to get interested in Aquarius.

Agreed! Actually watching the X-files as I type this. Been meaning to watch Californication forever, but I keep forgetting to add it to my queue.

Ha, I was blogging about the dreaded Space this weekend and I ended up having a lot more to say about it than I imagined that I would.

Actually, someone was complaining about the "enchanted children" lyrics in Gate and Garden in another thread and that reminded me of The X-Files' Closure, but Flying Down Juniper really reminds me of it. Michele

Yeah. My mix up as both songs' lyrics were being discussed in that forum.

I was listening to some guy from True Blood talk about their gory Rolling Stone cover the other night and it reminded me that David Duchovny, Gillian and Chris Carter did a Rolling Stone photo that was a take off on Fleetwood Mac's. David, Chris and Gillian were all in bed together. It was pretty hilarious.
