Default The Monkey on the drum kit

This is driving me nuts, during which song on the Mirage video does Stevie put the monkey on Mick's drum kit? The songs in the video are all out of order, but during one of the songs someone from the audience hands Stevie the monkey and she puts it on Mick's drums. I'm beginning to wonder if this was during one of the songs that is cut out. But I saw this footage somewhere years ago. Anyone remember seeing this???

From memory, I want to say it was during Blue Letter, but it appears to me the monkey was there already, I always thought she was placing a clown on the drum kit. I would have to watch it again to be sure but thats my 2 cents.

I thought it was a little penguin? I want to say it was during Blue Letter, too. I remember the guitar part playing as Stevie put it on the drum kit and gave a satisfied nod before turning back to the audience.

Ok yes, it was a clown or something. All these years I kept remembering it as the monkey. I have the original VHS but I must have blinked or something last time I watched it and missed the part. I have to say though watching the clips again, the "Mirage" tour was probably the last really great tour the Mac did.

Could it have been the legendary clonkey (clown-monkey) from the Amazon?

If you look to Stevie's left from 1:17 to 1:28, you'll see the monkey already on the drum kit. At, 1:48, she puts on the clown. This vid makes me miss how Fleetwood mac used to be!!!

Yeah that clown /monkey picture/mask thing is really creepy....& yeah Mirage was the best tour of the full 5 members of Mac/other than maybe the Dance but still Mirage beats the Dance.....plus I loved Stevie's voice than & her outfits too....but thats only IMO.....

I agree, it was the last great tour for the Mac; notably for the fact that it last tour without an expansive back-up band. It was raw, sometimes unpolished, but it was genuine rock and roll. And it was the first time I saw them live - in Worcester, MA --it was a memorable, great show. Days later I remember running into people who also saw the show. Everyone thought the same.
