Default Rare tracks on mainstream radio

So for those of you that don't know, BBC Radio 2 is the most popular radio station here in the U.K. and I think approximately 15 million people religiously listen in. So I always find it interesting when a rare song is played.

For example, today You and I Part II was played to my surprise as it's just an album track. Also, a couple of weeks back, Behind the Mask was played on BBC Radio 6 (which is also popular) to my complete shock.

Fleetwood Mac are constantly played on Radio 2 but it's the usual famous singles and concert staples. Hearing songs like the ones I've mentioned is always a surprise to me.

Does anyone else have any similar experiences to mine? I'd love to hear!
