Default Fleetwood, McVie, McVie

This trio was amazing to me when they played together. As I mature I appreciate what they did rhythmically and how fluent they could be in many languages of music.

The fact that they are all queer in there own unique way. The personality dynamic is very subtle but as close tight knit as they are, they are just as different. Christine and John dynanic... or Christine and Mick dynamic... or John and Mick.... None were the best soloists, but they could jam nonetheless....

When Christine was in the 1967-1974 phase, she knew the meaning of jam..... after that, I got a kick out of how pristine they could be on recording... songs like Rhiannon, Dreams, Little Lies, Isn't It Midnight, You Make Lovin Fun... the kick and push of those songs are delightful...

Do I miss this dynamic?

Well, obviously I'm no expert, but I really miss Chris's rythms on things, and totally notice them, especially live. Post BN. A lot of it sounds different on the recordings, it's too smooth, and there was no room to jam in the song cause they had to get it all on the record. I've always known that John is awesome, Mick goes with that, but only within the past year or so have I really gotten into Chris's rhythms on the piani. She makes live performances special that way. Although as a new fan I had admired the evenness yet complexity of rhythm (with everyone) in her songs.
Can't beat that sh*t.

I've always thought the Fleetwood Mac rhythm section included Mick, John AND Chris. Chris has said the same thing too, by the way.

oh thats another thing, she once said that their chemistry was so good that she could basically predict what mick and john and lindsey to an extent were going to play

I don't know about that...I'd say it was more a case of her being (in the words of Daphne Moon) "a little bit psychic".

I was thinking about that today. I'm just a little tired of making the same points, every three months.
