BN or FM or solo fan?
discussion on possible BN album/tour vs FM album/tour made me wonder what are percentages of fans on The Ledge who are:
EDIT: if anybody is confused by the poll question, you can go with the follow-up question: if you have a choice of a solo album/tour, FM album/tour, or a BN album/tour as the next step, which would you choose? Last edited by elle; 06-01-2012 at 08:13 PM.. |

Yeah, I was reading all the BN vs Mac debate here on the forum. To me since Christine left FM in '98, Fleetwood Mac is Buckingham Nicks, since they are the songwriters/vocalists. I perhaps have heard one or two songs from the BN album, but I am wholeheartly a Fleetwood Mac fan. Second would be Stevie's solo career.
...of course I guess the question could be asked of FM fans...which era? for me Rumours era, then all other eras right in behind. |

that's why i put in as solo artists just Stevie, Lindsey and Christine, and not others who are represented in separate forums (e.g., Peter Green, or Mick's various non-FM bands). |

Solo - which in my case means Lindsey solo.
Don't want any more FM, definitely don't want Buckingham Nicks! Just Small Machine for me |

Buckingham Nicks did one album 40 years ago. It's hardly comparable to the body of work within Fleetwood Mac or each artist's solo endeavours.
I like them all pretty equally.

ok, let me pose the question differently - if you have a choice of a solo album/tour, FM album/tour, or a BN album/tour as the next step, which would you choose?

don't have to guess. so there's your answer to my poll question.
(maybe i should clarify it at the beginning if it's unclear to somebody else besides you...) Last edited by elle; 06-01-2012 at 05:29 PM.. |

As much as I adore Fleetwood Mac, it struck me lately that I love Lindsey's solo work just that little bit more. Lindsey hasn't got a bad album in my view; whereas FM have a couple (I won't offend by mentioning which ones I think are utter crap. I'll just leave it to the imagination lol. Though they're not any album that's been released by the "final lineup/Christine + Final lineup).

I love pretty much every FM album. I love both of Chris' FM era solo CD's. I LOVE Lindsey's Law and Order, and OOTC. Stevie, I love Bella Donna and The Wild Heart.
But that's pretty much it, as far as solo albums go....

1. Which do you prefer - BN, FM or solo? 2. Which do you hope they do next BN album/tour, FM album/tour, solo album/tour? Clearly, you phrased your question wrong - or you have two different questions. And that's why I am not voting.

What I'd like to see next is a stripped down organic Buckingham/Nicks album.Even with their spent voices I think it could still really be something if done properly and a beautiful way to fade into the twilight of their long and storied careers.

FM-1975, was when I was hooked , and have been ever since. Then came Stevie's solo career , which I totally enjoy just as much as the Mac, maybe a little more . I have always loved the BN album, and appreciate what Lindsey and Stevie did with that. A tie between FM and Stevie, but if I had to pick just one, I'd go with Stevie.
That said, if I had to choose between what project I would wish to come next, I would without a doubt choose the BN project/tour. |

I love FM but I'm more invested in solo work at this point.....Mainly Lindsey. But my interest in Stevie has been peaked with IYD.
The Mac seems, at this point anyway, a dead entity. Mick
