8? How old are you again? Geez. I was 14 when I got that album and was OBSESSED with it and Melissa...and I think she actually MAY have turned me into a half-lesbian.

Ok...geez. When I was 9 I could care less about rock music..I think I listened to 9 year-old-crap like Debbie Gibson and NKOTB.

But Melissa was the first cd I ever bought with my own money...and I loved it and her...oh the memories. My uncle freaked out when he saw the Melissa Etheridge poster on my wall

I found out when I told my brother in law what cd's I wanted...it went something like this:

Me: Tuesday Night Music Club by Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge's Yes I Am..

Broinlay: I hope you're not!

Me: *confused* what?

Then he told me she was a lesbian and I was intrigued lol...and my love affair with her music (and my huge girl-crush on our student teacher in band) began I still remember the exact moment I realized I had a crush on a woman...sigh.

I honestly think I was around 6 the first time I had a girl-crush. Then again, I was half in love with the 12 year old boy my mom babysat before I had started kindergarten so....
