It's funny how reviewers can have totally different takes on the same show. They are merely human, after all.

(I know, critics are just stating their opinions, but I had to add this...)
Don't believe everything you read... especially from the NY Times... j/k

MOST of its been amazing!!!!
I have read some stupid stuff (couldn't open the NY Times article) about how Lindsey is going overboard and hogging the show...showing off...etc, which is a load of dog crap!! If there were a Nobel Prize for Greatest Musician on Earth...LINDSEY WOULD BE IT!!!!!! Disagree if you wanna, but whatever, that's my opinion.
Anywho...he's getting TONS of praise heaped on him....by the critics AND by die hard Stevie fans!!!!!!!! The critics are saying he is energetic and giving a good show...the SN fans are saying he "steals" the show....so, I'm happy!! LOL All of these reviews are making the build up THAT much more for me for my July 3rd show!!!!!!!!!!! I'm listening to The Chain from Rumours RIGHT NOW....(John just did the famous bass riff) and I cannot even BELIEVE I have tickets to see my favorite band/hero in PERSON...LIVE!!!!!! AAAHHHHH!!!!! It's too frickin AWESOME!!!!

Exactly what I was thinking with those two articles - exactly opposite opinions regarding the differences between Stevie's and Lindsey's onstage act.

That left Buckingham to carry the night, and he did so with remarkable ease. Still rock-star slim at 53, Buckingham paced the stage, head-butted his colleagues (including, at one point, Nicks) and served as frontman, backup singer and guitar god. On "Come," from the new album, he worked through a guitar solo that escalated and accelerated until exploding into a noisy crescendo.
And there's one of those critics' quotes that I WISH Lindsey would read!! Man....can you IMAGINE how it must feel to have somebody write something like that about you...! He deserves every word, and more! |

hey all! Lindsey's performance is SO amazing on this tour that words cannot describe it. it's so inspiring. that NY times reporter seemed bitter--anyways if you want to read my review it's in the SYW reviews.
in the meantime, i need to go practice my guitar. |

Lindsey is an amazing performer and it is nice to see him get some attention as it was not always this way for him. I think that he has really grown as a live performer and you get very caught up in his spell! No can play guitar like him.
