Question Can someone help me obtain some "fringe" Lindsey?

I discovered Lindsey during the Dance hype, and have since become an enormous fan of his solo work. I actually worked backwards, starting with the nearly flawless album "Out of the Cradle"...I continued my backwards purchasing with Go Insane and Law and Order.

Ironically, I think if I would have started with Law and Order, I might not have found the interest to keep buying.

I've since come to love his contribution to FM more than any other aspect of FM. His songs on Tusk are mind-blowing.

Anyway, I know there are a lot of "fringe" Lindsey songs out there. Songs from the boxed set, songs from soundtracks, unreleased demos, etc... Can a fellow Lindsey fan help me acquire these? I would be happy to pay for materials/shipping if someone could whip me up a couple of CDRs.

Thanks,

-Matt

There's a lot of stuff that you can download of Kazaa-if you have access to that.

If not, send me an email at jeffk74@hotmail.com

I have extended vinyl mixes of the songs Go Insane and Slow Dancing so if you're interested in a cassette, just email me.

Hi Macmar71,

Could you do me a favor and give me any release notes off of those vinyl extended mixes? I have mp3s of them, but have never seen them listed on any discography. I'm looking for the copywrite info, production info--basically anything written on the sleeve or the label of the record. I also would appreciate any description you have of the covers so that I can try to match it with a photo.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Hey Matt,

I recommend getting a hold of a copy of the Buckingham Nicks disk. Your appreciation of him will continue to grow.

Take it easy...

Rob

Hello John
Tomorrow I will pull out my trunk of Mac stuff and post that info you wanted on those two items.
I can tell you info on the covers now.
Go Insane 12 inch cover is the same as the picture that is on the innersleeve of the album with that blue hue to it.
Slow Dancing is a color picture that was featured in Record Magazine back in 1984 - the issue with Bruce on the cover.
Both of these I think are German imports but I will double check on that. They are on the Mercury label, not Elektra.
More info to post soon.

Thanks for the info, macmar71. Those remixes have also been a mystery to me. Any more info you provide will be welcomed.

I don't think those releases are listed in the Penguin discography. Maybe the info will be of use to whoever keeps that thing going also.

Anyway, thanks again. I'm looking forward to hearing mkore from you soon.

John
