These Strange Times

I've always like this song for soem reason, but I know quite a few don't seem to care for it. So let's see what the masses think.

I hate Mick, but I love that track.

Love that whole album, in fact.

Guess that goes back to not giving a damn about what's considered "cool."

I think I grinned from ear to ear the first time I heard that track. I really, really dug it and its prog-rock vibe... and I still do.

I like it. Mick plays some tasty lead guitar on the track, as well. He obviously learned how to play from some of the best...whether directly or by osmosis.

Anyway - "These Strange Times" is probably my least favourite track on "Time" and it could be my least favourite Fleetwood Mac song...

Mick may be an idiot (creating the "Time" version of the band is a prime example) but hating him is a really harsh comment...

So we disagree. Hiring Bekka was one of the best decisions he ever made. FM had always been about reinvention, and no better choice could've been made for a vocalist, IMO.

Well, I doubt Vicky would cut his throat. She might shoot him, but I seriously doubt she'd cut his throat!

Hate is an easy word to throw around. I HATE going to the dentist, but my dentist is an awesome guy. Yet, I still HATE going there.

I think its great that people disagree - it makes a more interesting conversation

I like Bekka, and I find the "Time" album to be okay, nothing great, but it has its moments. I have trouble swallowing the fact that it is FM. I kind of compare the "Time" reincarnation to the new INXS reincarnation, JD may have a fine voice but he will NEVER be as good as Michael Hutchence - not in a million years. The same thing for Bekka...

I still think it is a harsh comment to make though. Mick may piss you off or annoy the sh** out of you, but hating him is a strong comment to make

Yeah, but when the hell have I ever been wishy-washy in expressing my opinions? "I don't like Mick" just doesn't quite convey the intensity of my feelings about him. He disgusts me. I hate him the way I hate accidentally stepping in dog sh... You get the picture.

On the other hand, the word "love" gets thrown around just as much (probably more so) and nobody seems to bat an eye.
