Is it common for bands to be so frugal with merchandise?

But as other people have pointed out, with airbrushing even Methuselah could look pretty nice and hot. They don't have to look older in 2013 just because they are older. I don't buy that as the reason we aren't getting squat.

although personally i couldn't care less about merchandise that will just clutter my house and get thrown away eventually.

I occasionally buy merch if it strikes my fancy. In fact, I'm wearing my black FM track jacket with the penguin on the back from the 09 tour right now.

but i would love if Chris would consider coming back for an album recording. i think she adds not just musically but also general equilibrium that the other 2 songwriters don't have when it's just 2 of them. with just 2, if one of them behaves like a diva, everybody else needs to kiss their butt in order to get something done. with 3, if 2 want something, they can do it whether or not the 3rd one is willing. whatever 2 out of 3 want wins.

I have always wished there were Fleetwood Mac bumper stickers available. Something in the classic Rumours font, possibly black with white letters. Simple, classy.

I don't mind the old photos on tour merchandise, but I do mind when there is little creativity put into the merchandise, or when merchandise from a previous tour is used - that's just cheap and lazy. Posters would be fun; tour books that look collectible would be great; and selling CDs and vinyl at shows would be excellent.
