hi d- wonderful find. confirms many things peter has often said about that period - that i never completely believed because of the lack of documentation etc - like that's when he played his best, played w/o mistakes and so on

great photo too

john altman is a really interesting person! a couple of years i read a wild note he'd had written about ollie halsall http://www.olliehalsall.co.uk/ollieandali.htm

Is it really a photo? It seems it could just as well be a screenshot taken from a 24mm film. You can seen the next frame at the bottom of the still.
If so........ oh my God, wouldn't it be nice (Beach Boys, lol) if it were a film and could be made public?????

Not sure whether the photos in these links have been posted here before - I saw them about a year ago - but here are three more shots from the 100 Club:

John Altman (who played with the Brunning Sunflower Blues Band) and Duster Bennett can be seen along with Peter in these photos.

Most likely it's from a contact print / contact sheet.

Er.. no such thing Vouter 16mm or 35mm for movies !!

However, it is intruiging ,cause ,if it is a contact print taken from the still negs ,then it's a contact STRIP rather than a contact sheet which is unusual , though possible (unless the several strips of neg were spaced very far appart on the contact paper or only one neg strip was printed onto a large contact paper -all possible ). If it was 16mm movie film B&W positive light would hve to be shone through it to get the image we see ,but then you might expect to see light coming through the sprocket holes -which you don't .So I'd go for it being a contact STRIP and there are obviously other images on that strip ..............
