Her last album was her best. It was on a bunch of critics top 20 list of best albums of the year. Already, the title track is great. I cannot wait for this.

Hey, guys...it looks wonderful, but I will believe it when it really comes out. The one thing we know for sure is that Stevie is on the album because we see it from multiple news sources.

I wonder who wrote it. Smoke and Mirrors doesn't sound like a Stevie title.

But I'd say it could very well sound like a Lana del Rey song title. Actually I'd say the "Mirror" part is very Stevie while the smoke part is probably very Lana?

This, completely!! Definitely could be a co write, and the title is very Lana. I'm a huge fan of her's so this is very exciting to me!

Speaking of American Horror Story, Ryan Murphy, its creator also created Feud. The first season was about Betty Davis and Joan Crawfords feud. Since we know he is a fan of Stevie's, let's hope that one of the seasons will be about Stevie and Lindsey's feud.

Right ..they can start holding auditions at Night of 1,000 Stevies to find someone to play her.

Ironically I just read in a 2014 Hollywood gossip Magazine a quote from Lana Del Ray. She said she had slept with a gazillion guys in the music industry hoping they could further her music career and she said she got her contract from men she never slept with and so all that sleeping around didn't help her at all and was annoyed by that.

BTW, I consider myself very up to date musically but I have never heard of her.

Ah ah, well of course if she had already slept with them why should they have helped her for? They'd already got what they wanted for free .

Apart from bad jokes, I'm just a casual fan of her and I seldom heard her on conventional media too. She's not really alternatice but not even mainstream music, which appeals to young hipsters. She's got a sort of vintage and "pained" atmoshpere about her and her music that makes her interesting, at least to me, but at the same time maybe a little too strained/stilted in the long run.
I only caught the singles from her Born to Die album, which then I found good, the single Blue Jeans was used for a TV spot and if I remember well she performed it (badly, unluckily for her) on SNL and I enjoyed very much her contribution for the soundtrack of Big Eyes for Tim Burton. After that I "lost trace" of her.

I think this has a lot of potential
isn't Lana Del Rey Jimmy Iovine's protégée, like Stevie used to be decades ago? i think he even compared and contrasted them on some talk show few years back when she was just breaking through. makes sense he would connect them to try working together.

edit: here's one of the articles http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...ne-lana-288663

Yes, I remembered that too, but I think the main catalyst has been Rick Nowels who is Lana's main producer and, as she recently mentioned in an interview, has worked with Stevie again a little while ago.
