Default Any fellow Ledgie graduates...

Or anyone going through a major change in your life?

I graduate from college this weekend (finally!) I'm excited...but nervous, which I'm assuming is perfectly normal. I will be leaving for Washington, DC shortly after graduation...and will be spending the longest amount of time that I've ever spent away from my home town....which I'm very pleased about as I've come to hate and resent this place (though I know I'll end up home sick within one month lol). After the internship in DC I'm hoping to either stay employed at NPR, or I'm hoping one of the several interviews I've gone through will offer me something...if not I may end up working for Voice of America...a propaganda news org.

Anyway...anyone else graduating or moving or going through significant changes in your life?

I find this all very exciting but very scary at the same time...I'm not too social, so I'm afraid of ending up lonely and depressed...but I'm trying to set "social goals" lol...like actually going out once in a while...

Hang in there!!!!!!!!! I have been through a similar experience when I moved to Atlanta from my home in New Orleans pretty much where my family lives. But, I looked at it this way, I had to change and only I could do that, so I needed to be away. I hope that helps!!!!!

P.S. Birkenstocks are not allowed in the beltway

My graduation is Memorial Day weekend.

After working in the job I went to school to GET for the past year, while trying to finish school, it's a welcome relief.

Congratulations Deanna!
