Default Christine played guitar live??

So how have I never heard that Christine played guitar live, or at all? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5Pe9...eature=related
I just LOVE this song live! It's gorgeous! The harmonies just give me chills. I wish I had a better quality version of it!

Yeah, I wish the audio was better, too. Here's her playing guitar during Tusk rehearsals on "The Ledge," too:

All the same, baby. All the same.

You mean at a regular concert and not Storytellers or something?

I remember when Chris said she thought it would be cool if Stevie played guitar on stage. Stevie said that there would be no point, because she'd be playing for show, not because she was good and Lindsey would just be yelling at her that she was out of tune and she said that was the last thing she needed.

Stevie was suppose to play acoustic guitar on Go Your Own Way on the rumours tour, but she couldn't do it and stormed off.

I'm kinda glad she didn't. Seeing her hold a big clunky guitar would have spoiled her whole mystical allure . She would have had to bobby pin back her batwing sleeves and shawls, so they wouldn't get caught in the guitar strings .

She played thirty seconds on the Fender Rhodes in the last few months of her 1983 solo tour. But the rest of the band didn't play with her.

I know it's hard for the lads & lasses to accept, but she really doesn't play well enough -- on anything -- to play live with a band. There's just no point in her doing so. She knows it, her fellow musicians know it (Christine was being wry), & I assume many in the audience know it.

She was the bass player in one of her first bands back before Chicken Shack, so (as she says on In The Meantime) "anything is possible".

Yeah, but surely she could have handled three chords on some of the songs. Obviously she can strum a guitar and if she had played every night, even doing something simple, she's probably be pretty decent by now. That's one thing I've always found disappointing about Stevie that she never really tried at all to become a better musician. It seems lazy when you consider that it would have no doubt improved her songcraft.

no joke. neil young, for instance, is not a "great" guitarist, but at least he knows more than 5 chords and has written some pretty amazing songs, in part because of his playing abilities.
