THIS is all that matters. I hope he never goes back to FM. They're terrible people, and he deserves better than those douch*bags.

I'm glad his family is focusing their energies now on his full recovery instead of this heartless group of people. And I'm glad they're keepins us updated because they know we care about him and root for him. If they want to think about him as the bad guy because of the lawsuit, that only mean their memory is rather fragile. If they choose to put that in top of all the other great things Lindsey did for all of them then I guess they weren't his family after all. I don't need any type of fake closure but to each their own. Not my place to judge other people's feelings/reactions.

I don't see how a reconciliation could give anyone emotional peace when it wouldn't mean anything, when we know -- and Lindsey should know -- they don't mean it. There's no there there.
After Tango there were bitter comments. There were bitter comments after Chris left in 1997 too. But I told myself the jabs were motivated by a sense of hurt and betrayal. This time, I think they're simply heartless, selfish people. If you don't reach out to someone after they've had a life-threatening episode, then you could never really have cared about them at all, deep down. You know, I don't like Jerry Lewis and I loved Dean Martin. They were estranged for many years after Jerry Lewis, heady with his own stardom, began to minimize Martin's role in movies and push him out of their film partnership. After many years of estrangement, when Dean Martin's son died, Jerry went to the funeral and kept a low profile, so as not to call attention to himself. In Martin's time of sorrow, Lewis' core love for his old buddy was greater than all of the perceived resentments and years of feuding. The Fleetwood Four showed me there is no core love for Lindsey, almost dead or not. I don't think there's anyone who has romanticized the chain as much as I have over the years. Heck, I watched Lindsey and John's handshake on the BTM video 50 times and cried over it, but I just couldn't delude myself into believing in any of it again, now that they have definitively proven so shallow. They didn't reach out then, so what they do in the future can never matter much. I'll always think it phony. They might make public amends someday and I'll be there for it. I want the attention for Lindsey. I want him to enjoy a stadium again. I want him to perform before thousands, not just hundreds. I'll watch the five of them together on a stage at an awards show, in a documentary, but I won't believe there's any emotion involved, nothing that penetrates any deeper than the sound of applause. As for Kristen, normally, in a settlement agreement there would be a clause where you agree not to disparage and that is binding on your family and representatives as well. It's just standard. Clearly, there was no such clause in Lindsey's settlement agreement. He bargained to keep it out. I have to assume that he backs Kristen's posts 200% and more power to them. She has been quiet lately, but if their nonsense revs up again this fall, I hope she publicly comments like she did before. It's bad enough thinking about Christine. I certainly don't want Lindsey eating crow to get them to throw him a bone. |

why would KB walk on eggs while the band continue throwing sh*t at Lindsey? Nicks has been doing that for decades, with her little subtle passive aggressive digs. her fans got all their weird ammunition that they keep repeating all over social media from somewhere, and i just recently realized many just follow her lead. so while i'm happy that LB mainly took the high road over decades, KB defending against their repeated digs in the last year is something that, if Bucks were more active on social media over the years, would maybe ended up in a more leveled picture of the band instead of SN = saint / LB = devil that some SN fans are amplifying and adding on with the made up sh*t of their own all over social media. that said, anger is hurtful to everyone, and i can understand that KB and LB and their family took a high road and decided to forget about the backstabbers. they need healing, and they need love, and from the looks of it, they have plenty of it and plenty to look forward to. hope it's just uphill from now on, and whatever they decide to do re his voice ends up in the best way possible and makes him happy.

happy with all these different little slants that each of the artcle adds as a background to the story at the end. here's another one:
https://103theroute.radio.com/blogs/...ers-graduation Lindsey Buckingham's First Gig After Heart Surgery Was His Daughter's Graduation The former Fleetwood Mac member gets back on-stage MAY 21, 2019 BOB DIEHL Lindsey Buckingham Steven Ferdman/Getty Images It was an emotional return to the stage for Lindsey Buckingham. No, the former Fleetwood Mac singer/guitarist wasn’t playing in front of 15,000 fans in an arena – it was something much more meaningful. The 69-year-old’s first public performance since undergoing heart surgery was at his daughter’s high school graduation. Related: Lindsey Buckingham Confirms Stevie Nicks Wanted Him Out Of Fleetwood Mac Buckingham played “Landslide” on acoustic guitar, as he’s done so many times before, but this time it was his daughter, LeeLee, and her classmates singing along. Buckingham’s wife, Kristen, posted clips of the moment on social media. “Last night was epic,” she wrote. “First time I’ve seen Lindsey play in the last 4 mos, all the while Leelee ending her high school career. AND she sings a little Landslide with her dad. I cried, I’ll admit it. Never know what’s ahead so enjoy the moment.” Buckingham underwent open heart surgery in February which damaged his vocal chords. His wife said he would be traveling to meet with a specialist this week, presumably to determine if and when he might be able to sing again. Buckingham’s surgery came a few months after the release of Solo Anthology: The Best of Lindsey Buckingham. He also spent a few months on the road with his band in late 2018 after being fired from Fleetwood Mac. Buckingham said Stevie Nicks forced him out, but Nicks has stayed quiet on the issue and a lawsuit has been settled.

https://www.planetrock.com/news/rock...heart-surgery/ Watch Lindsey Buckingham perform live for the first time since heart surgery News Home More from Rock News Tuesday, May 21st, 2019 9:50am By Scott Colothan @scottcolothan Lindsey Buckingham performs live © Getty Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has performed live for the first time since undergoing emergency open heart surgery. Lindsey underwent surgery at the start of February and suffered vocal cord damage during the procedure. All of his upcoming live dates were put on hold to allow him time to recuperate. In his first public appearance since the operation, over the weekend Lindsey performed Fleetwood Mac’s 1975 classic ‘Landslide’ on acoustic guitar at his daughter Leelee’s high school graduation ceremony. With Leelee and other students on vocal duties, it’s still currently unclear whether the vocal cord damage Lindsey suffered earlier in the year is permanent. Lindsey’s wife Kristen shared video footage of the performance on Instagram and wrote on Twitter: “Last night was epic. First time I’ve seen Lindsey play in the last 4 mos, all the while Leelee ending her high school career. AND she sings a little ‘Landslide’ with her dad. I cried, I’ll admit it. Never know what’s ahead so enjoy the moment…” She later added: "The love and support for Lindsey and our family from all of you means the world. Thank u! Please think good thoughts this week and send L the best healing vibes as we head east to meet with vocal specialist. We’re ready for whatever is next. Love conquers all.” The emergency heart surgery in February came after a tumultuous 2018 for Lindsey, which started with him being fired from Fleetwood Mac in acrimonious circumstances. After slamming the band, and, in particular Stevie Nicks, in several interviews, Lindsey filed a lawsuit against Fleetwood Mac in October before they reached an out of court settlement two months later. Referencing their difficult time, Kristien Buckingham said in February: "This past year has been a very stressful and difficult year for our family to say the least. But despite all this, our gratitude for life trumps all obstacles we have faced at this moment. We feel so fortunate he’s alive. As does he. He looks forward to recovery and putting this behind him.” Lindsey’s former Fleetwood Mac band mates play two shows at London’s Wembley Stadium next month.

I’d imagine the person who was in Fritz that’s close to Lindsey was Bob Aguirre, but even then things have a tendency to get exaggerated on social media so who knows what the real condition with his voice is. And I highly doubt that anyone was sending anyone any messages with that song. It’s over between Lindsey and FM. After that lawsuit there’s really no going back. It’s a classic song, probably very sentimental for him and his daughter and I doubt there’s anything to it beyond that.

Lindsey didn't break the chain, Stevie and Mick with the quiet rolling over of the McVie's did. his lawsuit was appropriate reaction to what they did. i don't know why people expect that he should eat sh*t from the band quietly, and it's now somehow his fault they broke the chain - because he dared to file the lawsuit and demand what's rightfully his? nope. it's theirs. it's just that he's way better person than they are.

yes. Gary said Bob got a text from KB at some point. Gary said that last week, but it was not clear when Bob talked to KB. and like dreamsunwind says, it's easily the case of "broken telephone" where info gets somewhat changed as it goes from person to person.

I can only imagine how much Stevie would’ve charged her own daughters school for a similar performance. Given the opportunity.

IMO, the Fakewoods will never ingest the crow they are supposed to in this matter, so, I consider the separate ways a foregone forever conclusion.
Hurray! and good riddance, too! As for the Buckinghams -- it's very good to forgive and forget, but one never should go overboard with that to the point of rejoining the dysfunctional situation, n'est-ce pas? Forgive and forget surely, but! Then happily move on, staying far away from the poison for your remaining years!

They were supposed to be family, or at least close bandmates. If with a health scare they didn't reach out to him, nothing will move those rotten souls. Nothing. We all probably be there if one day they decided to make amends, because of Lindsey. But it will mean nothing in terms of a true and heartfelt reconciliation. In Nicks' own words, if you don't love me NOW, you will never love me again.
