Goodness, it is like they recycle the same interviews over and over with the band members. Almost entirely the same things we have heard them ask again and again for decades. At least they avoided drugs and the recording of Rumours for once.

I saw her do the splits at Irvine Meadows in '83.. she is delusional now though of course.

Great interview. Doesn’t seem delusional at all except perhaps that she probably feels her voice tone hasn’t changed but doesn’t realize we would be reacting more to the loss of her range. But otherwise I can completely see where she is coming from. And most importantly, I am grateful that even approaching her 80’s she is planning on making another record! How amazing is that? Thank you for posting!

I think she's had a rough year. She keys on Prince because I think it was a total shock to her that he actually died. Then Tom. I think Tom's death really, really shook her up. Plus, she's 70 for pete's sakes. Death is nearer and it comes as a shock when you suddenly realize you are actually old. I'm gonna have to start thinking of her as Grandma Stevie. Grandma's love to tell stories, get things wrong or remember them wrong. Whatever. That's Stevie.

She has been a star for more than 40 years.
And lives in her weird world, where reality doesn’t factor too much.

Things that she says are plainly delusional....my voice hasn’t changed !!
I can wear short skirts !! I can still do the splits !!
Her ego is amazing but that’s what you get or need maybe to be up there for 40 years.

Does she ever go out into the real world ?
And obviously she doesn’t have or allow any mirrors in her house.
It’s very sad really.

Nothing really new except talking about Oh my Love. And the Lindsey mentions really irk me. You are the one who kicked him out, but you mention him how many times in this article.

It still makes me so mad that you wouldn't do a Fleetwood Mac record because no one would buy it, but you talk of doing a new record for yourself. You really think more people will buy your record than a Fleetwood Mac record?

Yeah, it's insane. It's also nothing new.

Comments were made around the time Lindsey wanted to make a FM record after the 2009 tour - it won't sell, we just did a tour, it takes too long etc.

A year later she started up work on In Year Dreams. Which she spent a year on herself.

It's a double standard. If it's her album a year long process is ok. If it's a Fleetwood Mac album, it's too long and too costly.

She's an idiot.

LOL let us also remember her bi-polar reversal behavior in context of the SYW album.

There's an interview where the interviewer relays the message that Lindsey felt the rest of the band wasn't appreciative/or happy with of all the hard work he invested in the project - Stevie is audibly near tears when she hears it and proceeds to gush over how much extra time Lindsey put in making the album etc etc.

Within a year she badmouths the entire project and tour.

During press for the album, Mick mentions several times it's one of the best things they've done together.
Later he is quoted at one of his Costco wine tastings stating that it "wasn't one of their finest efforts"

Classic Mick/Stevie playbook moves.

She's not an idiot, she just wasn't being honest about the reason she didn't want to record to with FM.

Your career’s had so many amazing phases. I have to confess, my favorite song is “Ooh My Love,” from The Other Side of the Mirror in 1989.

I stole that from Tom Petty — accidentally! I picked up the wrong cassette at Tom’s one night, a tape of Mike Campbell’s instrumental demos. Tom would get them first, and then the ones he didn’t want, Mike sent them to me. I accidentally arrived home one night with a cassette — I thought it was mine, but it was Tom’s. It just said, “24 Demos from Mike Campbell.” It had the song that inspired “Ooh My Love,” which became “Runaway Train” for Tom. I took it into Fleetwood Mac and sang my lyrics over it. We started to record. I loved it so much, I called Tom and said, “Listen to this!” What an idiot, right? Let’s play him the song you stole over the phone! Tom just starts screaming at me on the other end of the phone. I’m realizing, “How stupid are you, Stevie?” So I had to go in the next day and tell Fleetwood Mac, “Guess what, we can’t do this song. ” “Why can’t we do it? ” “Because I stole it from Tom Petty, and I’m absolutely a total criminal and a thief.”

So now we know the song she stole from Tom was Runaway Train and she wrote Oooh My Love to it and she thinks she fudged it enough later to not get sued for still using it.

And she's not writing SONGS, she's writing blathering POEMS that she needs someone with musical talent to put music to so it can BECOME a song.

I dislike ANYONE who conducts themselves in the manner that Stevie has, esp in the past year.
