Default Favorite Lindsey Song - Vote On Standard

Let's take a vote. I am about to post a thread where people list their favorite song from each album, similar to this one: http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=58094

There are two standards we could use:

1. Go by the recording of the song on the album at issue.

2. Go by the song on the album we like best even if the version we like best is not the studio recording but rather a live version or other alternate version of some sort.

For example, as my favorite from Under The Skin I would definitely choose "Shut Us Down" – if I go by the solo acoustic live version of the song. If I go by the studio version, I might pick a different song such as "Show Me How."

Same goes for "Big Love" on Tango In The Night (yes I will include Fleetwood Mac albums, with only the songs Lindsey sings eligible).

So please vote: #1 above or $2 above as the standard.

Then I'll post a separate thread.

Thanks.

why not post both threads? like you say, it may be very different songs, depending on whether live versions of album.

also, i think you should count itunes or amazon exclusives in album too, such as Seeds We Sow electric, or Sleeping Around the Corner itunes exclusive from 2011.

I am a sucker for these polls. Thanks for offering to do it.

Could do both, or could do a favorite studio poll, and possibly also a live favorites (or alt versions), etc. Endless possibilities.... haha

Great idea. I'll ask people to list two separate songs in cases where there is a difference. Also, bonus tracks of any and all kinds are always eligible. Note that on the Stevie thread I chose "Twisted" as my favorite on 24 Karat Gold.

The remaining question concerns songs where Lindsey co-writes but sings no lead, such as "Isn't It Midnight" and "Red Sun." My inclination is to exclude them from eligibility.

It will be all albums whether solo, Mac, BuckMcVie, or Buckingham Nicks – even Extended Play. Just sorting out whether to qualify songs like "Red Sun" where Lindsey writes but doesn't sing any lead.

As with the above issue, I could just have people list both songs if their choices differ along these lines.

Do solo only, cbBen!
There's a veritable wealth of tracks to choose from, and it's well timed, being the year of his Anthology.

Save the other interesting polls for the Rumours forum some time.

I'm trying to cover the entirety of his work and, in a sense, isn't "That's All For Everyone" as much a solo work as anything else?

For my purpose, just pare down each FM/BN/BM album to his songs only and think of them as Lindsey Buckingham EP's.
