Totally agree. The orchestra music is magic. Her voice is like sandpaper rubbing the wind... so hard to describe... beautiful music being tortured by the voice of Regan from the Exorcist. She does sounds like the demon from the Exorcist.

The complete lack of any inflection or emotion in the vocal is terrible. Listen to how she intones "like a glove" or "like the "love." She raises the note a half tone but adds no softness, lightness or vibrato, just moans it.

Totally agree. I could listen to Lindsey's version all day long... I can stand Stevie's rendition but I wouldn't choose to listen to it.

I would have loved to hear a 1975 version of the song with her doing lead and Chris on those keyboards.

If You Ever Did Believe is gold though, I'm surprised that song took so long to get released.

Good to see the more recent soundtrack stuff included, they've never been available on a Stevie album before so good they they're all included together.

It'll be interesting to find out if they are all single or radio edits as most (if not all) of those have never been available digitally, so that could be good. I'm especially intrigued to see if "I Can't Wait" is one of the single remixes and if "Blue Demin" and "Maybe Love" are the Chris Lord-Alge single remixes, as they were a vast improvement on what was included on 'Street Angel'. He should've remixed the whole damn album!
I just got my 1CD version. To me it sounds great. Blue Denim sounds like a new song, not the album version. All the single versions are indeed the single versions never released on CD before. The vocals on The dealer and Lady don't come across any clearer than they did on 24KG, unfortunately. But overall the remastering sounds pretty good on my system.
The booklet is a three page foldout with a few pics we've all seen and only track notes, nothing out of the box.

Her doing the song is a dig at Lindsey. Just like the Twister remake. She's awful person these days.

People will stream it. I am not interested in purchasing it.
But it's nice having a compilation to stream in my car.

I got my single disc version today too. Here's a few thoughts:

1. It's nice to finally see a digital release of the single edits of Edge and Stand Back, plus the single remixes of I Can't Wait, Maybe Love and Blue Denim. The latter 2 inparticular are better than the album versions.

2. Great to see Long Way To Go finally included on a compilation.

3. TISL is horribly under represented. Just 1 track? And not even a great track?

4. The 2 live tracks are POINTLESS. Dreams suffers with a dodgy edit where 'Outside The Rain' should be.

5. The artwork is so unbelievably bargain bin it's untrue. It's worse than I expected. I hope the 3 CD set is better, but not holding my breath.

6. The remastering is poor - very loud and compressed. Totally opposite to the wonderful remastering on the Bella Donna and Wild Heart deluxe sets from 2016.

7. The channels are reversed and there's some weird mixing choices - Talk To Me is a bloody mess!

Overall, I'm glad I've got it for the alternate mixes and single edits, but it's hardly a "career spanning celebration".

Blue Denim is the radio promo remix that Chris Lord-Alge did. 100% better than the album version, really packs a punch.

Thank god it's not just me that notices the weird vocals on 24KG. They're distorted in parts and way too high in the mix. Almost like someone's recording right up to Stevie's mouth and the band are playing in the next room. Terrible, TERRIBLE mixing.

Streaming it on Google Play and there are no single edits. Just album versions of songs that became singles.
