Default Jeremy Spencer's New Album: Homebrewed Blues

Beautiful and prolific as always:
"They love each other so much, they think they hate each other."

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Thank you very much, TrueFaith77!
It's a great instrumental album very much in the style of "Bend In The Road" and "Coventry Blue".

Default New Jeremy Spencer album!!!

Looks as though Jeremy Spencer snuck a new album out this past November.

Titled "Homebrewed Blues"

I just now downloaded it from iTunes & haven't gotten all the way through, but apparently, it's all instrumental. As usual, FANTASTIC slide guitar work from Jeremy.

Arrangements are very moody...great for late night listening (as I'm doing right now...fits my mood perfectly at the moment!)

Some great harmonica, too, no liner notes, so don't know who his comprising his backing band, but the grooves sound great!
Among God's creations, two, the dog and the guitar, have taken all the sizes and all the shapes in order not to be separated from the man.---Andres Segovia

Yeah, it's a great collection of instrumentals. There is already a thread here about it started by TrueFaith77 (December 31), but the activity at this forum is very low at the moment.

My guess is that the album is done by Spencer alone, without any backing band. The music (apart from the slide guitar) sound a bit "programmed". Something you could do at home on a computer... i.e. "homebrewed".

You're right, the songs are very good and moody.

Default Many thanks ... those who have enjoyed this album, and possibly understood and appreciated where I was/am going with a selection like this. Besides, showcasing 'Mona' (my guitar) with as little intrusion from her accompaniment as possible, this is the most efficient means I can see in getting out so much unused ideas stored in my musical 'vault'!
