Talking Good news....

Hello from Italy folks!

All is good with Peter and Friends. I don't know when they'll be playing again at moment. However the good news is they're all still Friends - jamming together etc.

The priority is -and always has been- Peter's enjoyment and well being. He is dear to us all.

Thanks to everyone for their ongoing support!!

Cheers,

Mario.

Very good to hear this, Mario - thanks for passing along the good news! Sounds like Peter may just have needed a break from all the gigs and touring.

Great news Mario! Thank you

I had been more worried about PG having a stroke or some other age related physical condition, than a break up of the group - because they seemed so layed back even with the extensive touring.

My own home-grown theory: I thought it was a good sign, that the Peter Green and Friends Facebook page was never closed. It is still there for them to post new dates if they feel like touring again. Also most of the rest of the band has played in the US with Nick Lowe in october.

If there had been a lot of the usual hocus-pocus going on (like with the Splintergroup commotion) the facebook page would probably have been closed by now. Don't you think?

Default Peter and Mike

Perhaps a bit off topic, but......
I just took a look again at the Man of the World video.
The credits at the end show Mike Dodd as interviewer/researcher.
Who could have foreseen that Mike would join Peter musically in the then near future?

Default peter and mike

Mike was the guy in the cage who was being shown Peter's guitars. They seem to have a low pressure relationship. Mike even had Peter joking about having a "Gibson" that he liked.
It was not at all like the strained conversation that they showed in the Splinter Group DVD with Peter and Nigel Watson.
I too viewed the documentary again after seeing the Phil Ochs documentary. I still have the zone 2 version. I do not think they ever released it in the US.
I wish companies would make DVDs universal.

That was awful to watch.
Worse that watching Jeremy wipe his nose 83 times during the Madison Blues DVD Interview.

Here's Mikey a few days before Peter "called in sick" (25th of july):

He really seems to care about PG - which must be pretty hard sometimes......maybe this is what he is singing about?

And just when I was about to ask if there was anything new. This is indeed good news.

I can't let this go, are you implying something here (deviated septum, due to inhaling substances that can eat away nose cartilage)? Or did Jeremy just need an antihistamine?
