this is a good question.

- well, for one, if i had $1000 to drop, i wouldn't spend it to fly to vegas to see stevie. i have paid hundreds for a show, but i couldn't pay $1000. and i'm not passing judgement on anyone here. i wish i could do it!!

- oh, here's another. even though i've been a fan since 1987, i didn't see a Dance show.

- or a TISL show.

(can i go slit my wrists now? would that be okay?)

- i have the ribbons from stevie's mic from the SYW tour - got them after the last show of the tour.

Amen to THAT!

Curing "Mac-myopia" one Ledgie at a time.

My Not Make Believe fanship set me apart for a while there, but it seems to have garnered some fans since.

I've witnessed firsthand the state-of-John that apparently Christine grew more than weary of.

Exclamation Hmmm...

I'm predominantly a metalhead (Probably the only Ledgie who listens to either Behemoth or Cradle of Filth) who just happens to like Fleetwood Mac. So I can easily go from Satanic death vocals and 240 bps music to F.M. with ease

I also think "Behind the Mask" is a GREAT album (Hate to admit I have played "BTM" moreso than either "Rumours" or "Tusk" as of late)

hm, let's see, what else..
I think I have a fairly unique way of expressing my stevie fandom ..

To be honest, I'm not really a Fleetwood Mac fan anymore. They really don't excite me that much, compared to the other bands I'm into. Why am I here then? Uh, because of the ledgies or some kind of .. sentimentality about the band..
I don't know how unique that is for a ledgie?

Not unique, but certainly a member in an elite club: in my opinion, "Not That Funny" is the most joyous, infectious, lovable track the band ever created.

This track first appeared on "Tusk" which was released on October 12, 1979; that date should become a landmark in pop history comparable to May 29, 1913--the night "Le Sacre du Printemps" was first performed--in concert hall history. There was no riot, & no one threw anything at the turntable, but I think it's fair to say that the listener was in a state of shock, because "Not That Funny" has the same kind of hypnotic excitement as the "Sacre," the same primitive force, & the same thrusting, jabbing eroticism. The pop breakthrough had finally come. AOR pop had been supplying mechanized sex--sex as physical stimulant but without any passion or emotional violence. The sex in "Not That Funny" expresses the band's drives. Lindsey Buckingham is working out his aggression on Mick Fleetwood & Mo Austin, & the physical menace of sexuality that is emotionally charged was such a departure from everything we had come to expect from pop that there was something almost like fear in the atmosphere of the party in the Warner Brothers lobby following the release.

Default don't hate me, but....

I never listen to any FM song that Stevie doesn't sing lead on.

I have come to mildly dislike: Don't Stop, Big Love, and other huge hits through over exposure to them. If I hear Don't Stop in a store, I cringe.

I like Christine McVie a lot, but I don't really like any of the songs she's written and her voice doesn't do anything for me. I would never buy her, or LB's solo stuff. I only really like FM cos of Stevie.

I only really listen to Stevie demos these days, not the released albums. I'm not sick of the released stuff exactly, but I have heard them so many times (as a teenager listened to Rock A Little on average probably six times a day) that I don't actually need to play the songs if you get what I mean. At a guess, I'd say I haven't played Belladonna or Street Angel all the way through for over 5 years.
