Yeah, I know he hasn't forgotten. He's talked about the crazy women in his life in discussing why he had never been a father before. He said they were crazy and that he was too. Actually, to me "Lindsey language" is a little different than what's actually in Lindsey's head, because he'll say things that indicate he knows and feels a lot less than he actually does. Of course, it's not that I've actually been inside of Lindsey's head like in that Being John Malkovich movie. . . but I still think that what's inside the Buckingham noggin doesn't reflect what comes out of his mouth.

Snippet of "Underground" now. I think this one might be a sleeper -- going to REALLY grow on us.

Is "underground" the theme of his album?
It's mentioned a few times in different songs. Wonder what's up with that.

Ok who else is pumped they played Love Runs Deeper AND The Right Place to Fade both on the same show. I was so excited to hear them. Plus OOTC songs put into the set...AWESOME! He should really go out there play all of OOTC and play all of GOS and call it a night.

I like too... Sounds beautiful. Too bad this radio stream kinda sucks... But the Rockline website versions are always nice and clear.

I'm curious how he's going to pull off the sound of these two albums without the guitar army!

Mark in Las Vegas wants to know about LB's regional music influences -- did he go to clubs and hear local bands, etc.

LB says he was "sort of a square," because he has a folk style before he had lead skills. Played bass in Fritz (didn't name the band by name though) and other band-mates knew what was going on in the local scene, but LB was always playing catch-up. Did see great bands at the Filmore though and picked up on the ambience of that.

Oh I agree. He chooses his words very carefully. Nothing comes out of his mouth that he doesn't want to be seen on the front page of the paper. I bet he can keep any secret! He's just very private and reserved about what he'll reveal. Which is really smart IMO.

Nancy asked how LB comes to his new arrangements -- studio vs. live.

LB said he's not really even sure! Can't say what the impetus was to take "Big Love" and turn it into a single-guitar, but probably because he was looking for something to do similar to "Never Going Back Again."

Says at heart he's someone who likes to make records, and you want to keep records in an abbreviated framework -- to get out what you want to say in a concise way. Live and recorded versions tend to have an apple & orange thing about them.
