I'm glad to see that. Maybe his leaving the Splinter Group will lead to bigger & better things; and, maybe some well deserved time off, too! The PGSG has been almost a non-stop being since its inception.

Thanks for the news, Mario. Hope this is a sign of more good music to come from Peter.

Wouldn't it have been wonderful if this event was filmed and released as a DVD - sort of like the 70th birthday concert of John Mayall with guests!!! Too bad Peter wasn't on that one, though..

Has anyone heard any news from the show last night? Hope that Peter played as scheduled. Wonder who else played together with him?

I rang Martin Celmins this afternoon, and to my surprise he told me that Peter played a couple of tracks!
I probably know more toward the end of the week and I will post on the Ledge Mario. |

As promised.... here I'm with more infos....
Peter played two numbers: "Coming Home" and "Black Magic Woman", with Mike Sanchez as lead vocalist. The finale was everybody (except Eric Clapton!) back on stage, playing the Wilson Pickett hit "Land A Of 1000 Dances" . Most important Peter really enjoyed his stay there! Mario. |

I'm glad that he was well enough to play. That's great news.
Interesting choice of songs. "Black Magic Woman" I can understand - but I'm curious about "Coming Home" - Is that the Elmore James number? Jeremy did that on "Mr. Wonderful" or is a different song with the same title?

Yes, I cannot be sure, but probably "Coming Home" is just the Elmore James track.
But waht I really want to point out is that Peter is well and safe indeed! Mario. |

I see that the London Times online has a review of the show but you need a paid online subscription to access it. Has anyone here seen the Times review?
