Thanks, Neil!

I have a question: does anybody know how to make an mp3 of a streaming radio broadcast in iTunes? I'm listening through iTunes on a Mac 9.2 system. I'd love to make an mp3, but I don't have a clue how and my help-files don't seem to work...

Thank you!
Thea

Neil, thanks so much for the reminder about this show! I just caught it.

If you didn't get to hear it, some of the answers were things we've heard before, but a few new-ish things, among them:

Lindsey said that he hopes their documentary will come out early next year. This came up in a discussion about how the CD was initially going to be a double CD, but then it got cut back. He wanted the double, and he said there were "aggressive discussions" amongst them about the issue, some of which, I guess, must be captured in the documentary.

He said he's not been particularly disappointed in the level of success in his solo career because he never particularly viewed his solo career as something for a mainstream audience.

He was asked if he or anyone in the band was concerned about releasing a 9/11-themed song, specifically Illume. He said, no it was not ever a concern or viewed as a necessity. He thought the poetry of Stevie's words transcended the event, and the feel of it is also transcendental of the event.

He was asked about the meaning behind Steal Your Heart Away and he said something along the lines of it basically being about all of the things that we all go through to find love and how often those attempts are not as direct as they should/could be -- that people try to "sell themselves" through a series of mechanisms instead of being more direct person-to-person. He also then broadened the idea to say that he thinks this kind of convolution is a symptom of what's wrong with the world generally.

The guy who hosts "Captain America" was extremely complimentary about the album. Really loved it. Oh, he also asked Lindsey if he was surprised that people were re-evaluating and loving Tusk these days. I could practically hear Lindsey chomping at the bit to say, "No! Are you kidding me, it's great!" Hehe. But he just said basically that it's always been his favorite and he's very proud of it still.

Just a little addition -- during the interview they played Tusk, Peacekeeper, Smile At You (DJ said it was one of his favorites), and Steal Your Heart Away (DJ's favorite of Lindsey's tunes on the album).

Thanks again to Les!!! You surely do
keep us informed! Our pc is so slow it's
hard to get up radio and video programs.

Lindsey is so honest about all his work
it is painfull! Mick Thinks TUSK is Good!
LB went Isane over TUSK, now its OK?
As Lindsey has said..."That's Showbiz!"Sky

Hi fastpussy,

This is slow PenguinHead here. There is a software program called Total Recorder that allows you to extract streaming audio from the web and convert it MP3. It's pretty amazing! Good luck. By the way, I love your country!

Thank you, Penguinhead!
This is going to be fun. I'll try it out right away.

Thanks again,
Thea

P.s. I love it too. Slightly less when it's raining this much though...
