I try to get a potatoe-vegetables-meat meal in every day, but because of work that doesn't always happen. Overall I eat mostly chicken, because it's good and it's the only thing my sister eats. She doesn't eat red meat. I love food though, so anything goes. I love trying out new things.

Red meat. But I'm trying to break that habit. I had chicken and stir fried veggies last night. God, I missed MEAT.

it goes in cycles. sometimes its alcohol, sometimes its chicken. for the last couple weeks, it's been chicken, but this week is an alcohol week.

it's sad, but sometimes breakfast is beer, too.

I couldn't figure out why I couldn't choose one. Until I realized you left out the "Cheese" group.

Yeah, I polished off 2 wedges of brie and almost a block of cheddar in a few days. The brie was within, like, 3 days. Cheese is not good for you, and sometimes I successfully avoid it, but right now isn't one of those phases.

I try to balance, but carbs/grains are my downfall. I could just eat bread & pasta & potatoes & rice for the rest of my life & be perfectly content. Unhealthy, sure, but content.

When I'm succeeding at balance, I have 5 or 6 servings each of protein & grains, 3 or 4 fruits & veggies, 1 or 2 fat, and 2 or 3 dairy. When I'm not, it's more like 2 protein, 1 fruit, 1 veggie, 3 or 4 dairy (like Amber said, cheese....) 5 fat & 20 grains/carbs.

I am a milkaholic. So dairy would be my category.

You could really streamline your second category if you make sure that there are fats in your carbs. For instance, last weekend (2 days) I ate an entire carton of chips ahoy. See how I efficiently combined loads of fat with loads of carbs? Write this down, P. I also ate 2 wedges of brie with crackers between Thursday and Sunday. The carbs from the crackers were efficiently slathered in creamy cheese. This is, of course, in addition to some other regular foods. Also along those lines, I ate most of a block of cheddar with most of a pack of Ritz. I know it isn't easy to be this efficient, but I think with some work you can really make significant strides. I'd like to add that I haven't gained any weight yet, and so far I'm choosing to attribute that to Mr. Coconut Oil.
