Default What if there was a VIP package

Do you think she is going to sell out and charge a small fortune for the first 10 rows if she tours ?

I just got an update and Dolly Parton is getting $1950, $.600. and $225 for 'vip" guns and roses are about the same

I'm sure Mick will up the $1250 seats the next tour if everyone is getting more

Considering the last time Stevie toured (5 years ago now) she was relegated to being an opening act and/or casino dates, I don't think we'd have to worry about being gouged. On the other end of the spectrum, Dolly Parton is still doing arena shows; something Stevie has never been able to accomplish outside of Fleetwood Mac.

I'm still not entirely convinced Stevie's solo career is really viable anymore, either. At least it isn't in the form of her headlining 10,000+ seat venues. From here out, if she choses to continue touring solo, I'd have to imagine she'd need to shift to being an opening act, or headline theaters & smaller amphitheaters. Neither of these options would really afford her the ability to cash in at the fans expense.

For instance, when Stevie was here in Austin to screen the In Your Dreams documentary at South By Southwest a few years back, she was only able to fill maybe 1/3 of the 3,000 seat Paramount Theater. And that was a free event! I realize concerts will inevitably be a larger draw than documentary screenings, but this is just a sign of a larger trend.

I'm pretty sure she was headlining the In Your Dreams tour across the US and Australia five years ago. This was also right after she spent the earlier half of 2011 opening for Rod Stewart and she then went on to do the casinos and more shows with Rod the very next year. The documentary in Austin was in the middle of the day on a Wednesday if I remember correctly and it was in the middle of SXSW, which isn't Stevie's ideal market but she was still able to draw a decent crowd. No doubt she is no Fleetwood Mac draw, but I still expect solo tickets to be north of $100 for decent seats.

Maybe not now, but she has played arenas without Fleetwood Mac. I've been there.
