I don't dislike "Knocking On Doors", but I much prefer "China Doll" and "Rich Old Lady". I suspect "China Doll" has been relegated to the holy grail of "Rhiannon" songs so I'm not holding out hope for it on this occasion, but "Rich Old Lady" is a possibility.

I was recently thinking about the elusive "Rhiannon" project and wondered if this might be the next outing for Stevie and Dave? I suspect she would want to lavish some time on this group of songs and with Dave's involvement, one could expect a full orchestra to be present. A track like "Forest Of The Black Roses" is just crying out for this type of treatment - imagine a similar arrangement to that of "Beauty And The Beast". It could be so beautiful.

She mentioned in the 'In Your Dreams' documentary that playing "Rhiannon" with Dave on the pilot episode of his aborted HBO show (which I really wish they'd release in some form), was the moment she knew she wanted to work with him. So bringing her "Rhiannon" project to fruition, with Dave producing, may very well be in the back of her mind.

And on the off-chance that it isn't, someone needs to tweet Dave with the idea! lol

I always skipped over China Doll thinking based on the title I would hate it. Having just sat down and listened to it, I hope Lady is China Doll or Rich Old Lady. Both are gorgeous.

Somehow "Knocking on Doors" escaped me, so I'm now glad to have this demo to listen to. If it turns out to be "Lady" that's cool, but if not, I now have this new beautiful song to listen to. Thank you.
