Default Need Your Musical Help

and who better to ask?

i'm looking for some suggestions of songs that have great energy - fun, upbeat, empowering lyrics, songs that just make you feel amazing when you hear them, you get the idea. but they need to be indie or alternative in genre. they are for someone who doesn't care for pop, hip hop, or even mainstream rock.

thanks for your help. i won't be back to check til later tonight - so go crazy!

The Killers - All These Things That I've Done, Indie Rock & Roll

Stars - Your Ex-Lover Is Dead

Death Cab For Cutie - Crooked Teeth, Soul Meets Body

Saves The Day - At Your Funeral

The Forecast - Every Gun Makes Its Own Tomb

The Elected - Fireflies in a Steel Mill

The Postal Service - The District Sleeps Alone Tonight

Imogen Heap - Daylight Robbery

Franz Ferdinand - Walk Away

Jenny Lewis and The Watson Twins - Handle With Care

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Face Down

Tilly & The Wall - Bad Education

Jack's Mannequin - The Mixed Tape

Rilo Kiley - Portions for Foxes

Snow Patrol - Run

You could probably throw on some Talking Heads too. Psycho Killer or Once In A Lifetime would be good. A lot of the alt or indie stuff I have is slower though, and that's not what you said you wanted.

Oh I love upbeat stuff. My fave of the moment: Modest Mouse - Float On

and uh..
New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle, Temptation (and a dozen others, ha ha)
Polytechnic - Won't you come around

There's a few others I can think of, but don't know how 'indie' they are
Magic Numbers - Take a chance
Clap your hands say yeah - The skin of my yellow country teeth
Guillemots - Annie let's not wait, Trains to Brazil, Who left the lights off baby
Jarvis Cocker - Don't let him waste your time
Kaiser Chiefs - their entire first album
