What are you smoking man? I know you've been bending over backwards to minimize the ridiculousness of the most recent lineup change in Fleetwood Mac, but Lindsey Buckingham is the Ron Wood of the band?

Mick and John are not the Mick and Keith of Fleetwood Mac. Quite honestly, with the 'tourists' who go to a Mac show and are cool with randomly inserted new band members in year 52 and a bunch of solo or non-related cover songs in the setlist, Mick and John could probably be replaced with unknowns and as long as Rhiannon, Landslide, Don't Stop, and Go Your Own Way were played - half of the audience wouldn't even notice or care.

Yes, finally someone else agrees! It's boring, repetitive, and a snooze. How it was the only Mac song to go to #1 in the US is beyond me!

I think people who pay $200-$400 for a concert ticket are more than 'tourists.' I know you want to think that 'real fans' wouldn't go to a FM show because Lindsey was fired, but they are going, and they're having a great time. I'm one of them. The concert was incredible, the best FM show I'd ever seen, and this was my fifth tour. This is not a dig on Lindsey, it was just an incredible show. You're right about the fans wanting to hear songs they know and love. What are your thoughts when Lindsey plays Trouble, Holiday Road, Go Your Own Way, or Tusk on his solo tour?

If you're a fan of Lindsey's that can't get over his firing, then let's be honest- nothing FM did from now on would have been good. If they sang a LB song, they were being disrespectful; if they didn't sing a LB song, they were being disrespectful.

I'm a fan of the band, not a Lindsey fan. On another thread I just posted about this - it's irksome to me that everyone who isn't happy with what happened over the last 12 months is apparently assumed to be a rabid Lindsey fan who is pissed with Fleetwood Mac for firing him. I'm a Fleetwood Mac fan, a Rumours era fan, who is pissed at the rest of the band for firing and replacing him. I am not a Lindsey or a Stevie fan. I like some of their solo stuff, but am in no way a huge fan of one of the individuals whom I firmly believe are better together than they have ever been apart or with others. To me, Fleetwood Mac is the five of them - unless one of them decides to no longer be part of it (a la the Songbird from '98 to '14).

I didn't make a dig about them playing hits. I made a dig at Steve's inference that Lindsey Buckingham is as dispensable to Fleetwood Mac as Ronnie Wood is in the Stones and that firing Keith Richards would be the equivalent of John McVie getting the boot. My dig was that quite honestly the tourists (classic rock concert 'tourists' can and do pay that much, it's 2018, those aren't unheard of prices for a brand like Fleetwood Mac) would likely be fine with John and Mick being replaced altogether because they aren't the Keith and Mick of Fleetwood Mac.

Quite honestly, most opinions that are negative on the ledge don't go too far off this board.. The predictions that the FM tour would not sell out was incorrect, Stevie getting Lindsey fired didn't prevent her from being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, many things, lot of bitter angry people on here but in the real world, it's not the end of the world.

1. I hate Stevie's coked-up live vocals that a lot of fans seem to love. The Mirage performance of SOTM is a prime example. It sounds awful.

2. Stand Back is one of her worst songs when performed live. Stevie sings it far too quickly. It sounds like a wall of noise.

Number 2 for the win, SB live is always a cacophonous fugg of Stevie bellowing off key against a wall of noise.

Unpopular opinion? Not so sure. Stevie getting Lindsey fired added to his stress levels.

Judging by the resulting song, Tom Petty telling her to write her own songs didn't in fact make her stronger.

Stevie is responsible for Lindsey’s heart attack.

If only... The problem is, if she was responsible, she didn't do the job properly.

Karma's a b****. At least he had family there to rush him to the hospital. Alone in one's apartment, dancing away, one might not be discovered for a day or more.

Or maybe when she's up at 3am staring at herself just trying to get that perfect selfie, overlooking the pacific ocean and falls in...who will even notice?
