Default What Would YOU Name The Album?

Just something doofy, to pass the time between new articles, new photos, and new info....

If you were given the chance to name the new album, but you *had* to choose the title of one of the songs it contains... which would you choose?

Since a poll only allows 10 options, I went with the songs whose titles seem to be the most likely candidates.

Have fun, and play nice!

Default Thanks, JS

Nice work, Johnny Stew.

I still think Peacekeeper is such a timely and substantial title.

No fluff.

Arrow I voted for...

Illume. I like it, it's a pretty word like Mirage...and it's mysterious sounding.

Fleetwood Mac's Illume....sounds good, doesn't it? They can avoid speculation about politics by not choosing Peacekeeper, and the rest just sound odd...like Say You Will. LOL

Say the FM before all the titles, which one sounds the best to you? Illume sounds the best to me. JMO tho.

No, I don't feel Peacekeeper is appropriate at all anymore. Especially with the revelation about this missile

In light of that, and my dislike of Thrown Down as an album title (something negative/violent about it!), I surprised myself by coming around to 'Say You Will'! (Love the one you're with..)

Yeah good point - 'Fleetwood Mac - Say You Will' is far from as poetic.... But 'Illume' (it's pronounced 'illoom' isn't it?) is a weird sounding word. Carne's said it previously.

LOL - definitely NOT 'Say Goodbye'!!! (Arrgrghh!)

I'd pick "Illume" with "Say You Will" as my second choice.

Heart Definitely Ilume

Ilume sounds very Fleetwood Mac, don't you think? All the light and shadow references and metaphors both Lindsey and Stevie have been using in their writing for the last 30 years...it fits. And many of their albums have great one word titles...all of them are open to interpretation and somewhat mysterious. Not that Say You Will isn't good food for thought, Ilume is just better, IMO

Having said that, I still would prefer a non-song album title. But I can live with Say You Will. At Least it wasn't "Goodbye Baby" (good thing it's not even an option in the poll).

I agree. I don't think that 'Peacekeeper' would be right, as people would associate the title with the possible war on Iraq. I think music should not start interfering with politics.

Because i want the album to be as tensed and adventurous as tusk, I voted for "Come". Short, strong, dirty, rocknroll.

Golddustsara, music is the perfect medium to interfere with politics. And it used to be that musicians used their art to try and change the world, rather than write about fluff.

Sadly that seems to be less the case today.

Maybe you weren't around in the sixties. I'm not ashamed to admit that I was. Back then, musicians tried to get us out of a very stupid war (they're all stupid) in Vietnam. They tried to help the world see how &%$#-ed up our government was.

Well, there are powerful parallels at work today.

I stick with Peacekeeper as my choice.

Thumbs up Say You Will

I think Fleetwood Mac made the right choice! For the record I'd pick Illume second.
